Could Joe Biden Pardon Hunter and His Family Members? – President Joe Biden is running for a second term.

Save a major health problem or other unexpected incident, the country’s oldest-ever president is about to try and break that same record for a second time. He is no doubt already preparing his talking points…and excuses.

Anticipating attacks from Republicans over the disastrous Afghan withdrawal, the recession that definitely isn’t happening, the banking crisis, and more, Biden may also be thinking about what he can do to prevent his son, himself, and other members of his family from being prosecuted for tax evasion and more.

In April of last year, White House communications director Kate Bedingfield refused to rule out the possibility of the president issuing a pardon for his son, or his brother James Biden, as federal investigations into their foreign business dealings continued.

“That’s not a hypothetical I’m going to entertain,” Bedingfield told reporters. “I don’t have anything to add from this podium.”

Ignoring the fact that she was standing behind a lectern, not a podium, it was clear that Bedingfield and other White House officials are hopeful that their silence on the matter will only be reported on by right-wing media outlets. To be fair, it’s worked before.

Hunter Biden and The Latest On the Biden Family’s Business Dealings

Investigations into the Biden family’s overseas business dealings – which the president has denied having any knowledge of – are heating up.

The House Oversight and Accountability Committee says that it is working to determine whether the Biden family’s domestic and international business dealings “compromise U.S. national security and President Biden’s ability to lead with impartiality.”

Evidence so far suggests, according to the committee, that members of the Biden family “have a pattern of peddling access to the highest levels of government to enrich themselves, often to the detriment of U.S. interests.”

Could This Be A Deciding Issue in 2024?

While Hunter Biden’s business dealings didn’t play a huge role in the 2020 election (not just because the details of deals made during his father’s term as vice president were revealed just weeks before the election, but also because of well-documented censorship efforts by Big Tech and the mainstream press), they could play a massive role in 2024.

Republicans already have a war chest of attacks ready to be directed at the president as we head into the 2024 election, and evidence of corruption or influence-peddling schemes coordinated by Hunter Biden or other members of his family will be harder for the mainstream press to ignore.

Investigations are already underway, there’s no telling what could happen in the next two years regarding prosecution, and mainstream news outlets cannot simply ignore it as they did in the weeks leading up to November 3 2020. There is just too much time left before November 2024 that, should media outlets choose to back Biden – and they no doubt will – they will need to defend Biden rather than pretend the scandal doesn’t exist.

Defending Biden, especially if the matter escalates between now and then, won’t necessarily work out the way they hope. Voters are smart, and polls have already indicated that former President Donald Trump might have won in 2020 had the media properly reported on the Biden business deal revelations before election day. This time, the country will know even more than what the mainstream press didn’t want to acknowledge last time.

With that in mind, Republicans could easily make the case that a second term for President Joe Biden would be disastrous for the economy and risk Biden pardoning himself, his son, and other family members. Diehard anti-Trumpers might not care – assuming Trump is the Republican nominee – but non-Woke, average working Americans will.
