Donald Trump Did Not Want to Incur the Wrath of His Wife After Affair – Everyone in the political punditry world is discussing the legal ramifications associated with Donald Trump’s hush money payout to an adult video actress who he allegedly had an extramarital affair with.

But few are considering the views and feelings of the former president’s wife Melania.

Trump obviously did not want news of the affair to come out. The revelation could have harmed his 2016 presidential campaign but would have assuredly damaged his marriage. It is this fear of hurting Melania’s feelings that could have driven Trump to make that infamous $130,000 payment to silence his alleged romantic partner Stormy Daniels.

Where Is Melania?

Melania has so far remained out of the news as Trump’s dalliances with Daniels have entered into potential criminal territory.

The former first lady has chosen silence, and it is unknown how she is reacting to Trump behind the scenes.

There have been no news conferences where she has stood by her man to claim the marriage is strong. You often see that in politics after cheating husbands are unveiled.

Fear of His Wife Drove Trump Hush Money Payments

Now a Trump biographer has weighed in with his views on Trump’s dalliance. Tim O’Brien told MSNBC months back that “Donald Trump has a long history of cheating on his wives, and I think he was probably more afraid at that point of Melania Trump than he was of the electorate, so he had a motivation to try and get this out of the way.”

They Had Just Been Married

News of the Stormy Daniels affair would have really stung Melania if it would have come out when it happened in 2006. Their marriage was only a year old, and their son Barron had been born just months before.

Daniels Twists the Knife

When Daniels went to the media in 2018, her comments must have been disturbing. “He was like, ‘Wow, you — you are special. You remind me of my daughter.’ You know — he was like, ‘You’re smart and beautiful, and a woman to be reckoned with, and I like you. I like you,’” Daniels said.

Ugh. Talk about hurtful comments that must have rocked Melania’s world.

Staff Knew to Watch Out for Melania

Former Trump campaign manager and White House adviser Kellyanne Conway had this to say about Trump’s relationship with Melania. “He reserves – he listens to many of us, but he reserves fear for one person – Melania Trump.” This statement came during Conway’s testimony to the House January 6 committee.

Another Affair During the Same Timeframe

Melania also found out that Trump had another affair that he tried to hush up – to former Playboy model Karen McDougal. Donald Trump allegedly paid money to silence McDougal too.

Former First Lady Stayed Out of the Limelight

The former first lady endured other difficulties in the White House. According to a tell-all book by former Melania aid Stephanie Grisham, the first lady was reclusive. She rarely left the White House and Secret Service agents reportedly called her “Rapunzel” due to her seeming like a “beautiful woman trapped in a castle tower.” Grisham noted that Melania reacted with fury to news of Trump’s affairs.

She Got Back At Him In Her Own Way

As a result, Melania took revenge against Trump in novel ways by “Taking the arm of a military aide hand-selected for his good looks at her husband’s State of the Union address, cropping the president out of photos she posted, and leaving him out of her tweets were ways Mrs. Trump tried to needle her husband,” according to the Grisham book.

The Stormy Daniels story will not go away, and the former president could be indicted for his actions concerning his payment to his mistress.

Melania may never get over it, and Trump’s political calculus concerning his re-election campaign could leave out his most important and fearsome supporter – his wife.
