Congressman James Comer of Kentucky, the head of the House Committee on Oversight and Accountability and the lead investigator into the alleged multi-million-dollar bribery scheme involving the Biden family, came forward this week with even more serious allegations against the First Family.
Comer Warns Joe Biden May Be ‘Compromised’
Speaking with Laura Ingraham of Fox News on Tuesday, Comer alleged that the Biden family has committed serious financial crimes, including laundering money through American banks, and taking bribes from foreign nationals in pay-for-play schemes, including individuals from Romania, China, Russia, and Ukraine.
It’s not just the bribes themselves and the potential harm they may have done to US national security and interests.
Comer also expressed concern about whether Biden may be compromised and under threat of blackmail, noting that Biden “could potentially be compromised if he has been recorded accepting a bribe from a foreign national.”
What Were the Bribes For?
“We have no idea what the family did to earn that money. What thing of value was provided to those foreign nationals to compensate the Bidens for tens of millions of dollars?” Comer said.
Yet Comer went on to suggest that the committee does have some idea why, and “believes” the Ukrainian individual bribed the Bidens while Joe was VP in order to get more foreign aid for Ukraine and get America to pressure Ukraine to fire a prosecutor causing problems for Ukrainian energy company Burisma.
In Romania, the House committee also sees a pattern, noting that only several weeks after giving a speech there about foreign aid, money started flowing into “shell companies” owned by the Bidens.
Digging Deeper Into Devon Archer..and Joe Biden
One angle that hasn’t been fully explored yet is the role of Hunter’s business partner Devon Archer, who Comer says “knew very well what the Biden’s were doing” and the House committee wants to know what he knows and the extent of President Biden’s involvement. Accordingly, Archer has been subpoenaed and is expected to show up sometime this week for a deposition.
Archer previously sat on Burisma’s board along with Hunter starting in 2014, during which time the pair exchanged hundreds of emails. Archer was sentenced to a year in prison in February of 2022 and lost his latest appeal attempt to avoid jail time earlier this month. His possible near future date with a jail cell comes after being convicted of trying to cheat a Native American tribe of $60 million in pension money in 2018.
Getting sworn testimony from Archer will be useful in moving this case forward – and while the American public deserve to know the full details about Hunter Bidens’ alleged fraudulent dealings with foreign nationals in return for payoffs, it’s hard to tell whether the Biden administration will allow that to happen.
