In case you didn’t hear, back in the summer, President Joe Biden has ordered the construction of a railway from the United States to the Indian Ocean.
That’d be quite the logistical and engineering feat (as well as the idea of a train to nowhere being taken to extreme ends).
Biden probably just misspoke. Yeah, that’s probably what happened.
Even a child would know the absurdity of seriously claiming one could build a railway from mainland United States to the Indian Ocean.
Wait, the forty-sixth president also claimed months back that the Russians were at war with Iraq? He did this twice in the span of a few days during the summertime.
It must’ve been his legendary stutter. No worries. These things happen.
What about that bizarre claim he just made to the League of Conservative Voters when he reminded his confounded audience that, “I’ve committed to—by 2020, we will have conserved 30 percent of all the lands and waters the United States has jurisdiction over and simultaneously reduce emissions to blunt climate impact”, does this concern you?
Either Joe Biden is coming out as a time traveler, or this is more than his famous stutter. Biden doesn’t know what year it is.
Things get scarier, too.
God Save the Queen?!
As I wrote about recently, President Biden was addressing a large convention of anti-gun advocates at the University of Hartford in the beautiful state of Connecticut. While in the land of Yankees, Biden must’ve confused his location with that of being in Britain because he closed his anti-gun tirade with, “God save the Queen!”
Maybe, in his age-addled brain, Biden got his proverbial wires crossed. Because he was speaking about taking our guns away, as the British government did their citizens in the 1990s, perhaps Biden thought he was in England?
One thing is clear: Biden was not operating at full capacity that day (or any day thus far as president, for that matter). Defenders of the forty-sixth president reminded dubious onlookers of the president’s frankly, bizarre, speech that Biden had a history of closing public statements with “God save the Queen!” According to Biden’s defenders, he used that phrase as a weird joke when he presided over the final certification of the results of the 2016 Presidential Election.
Honestly, that doesn’t fill me with much confidence.
The first thing I started asking myself when presented with the videographic evidence of Biden’s slurred “God save the Queen!” sign off at the certification of the 2016 election and his demented closing remarks at the anti-gun speech seven years later was, “Biden’s mind was slipping even then!”
He should’ve never run for president in 2020, given these early signs of mental decline.
Biden has confused phrases and words throughout his three years in office. He’s consistently claimed that his oldest son, Beau Biden, was killed fighting in the Iraq War. Of course, the truth is that, while Beau Biden did honorably serve in Iraq, he died many years later from brain cancer.
On top of claiming that the Russians were invading Iraq, President Biden has also confused Ukraine with Iran. During his 2022 State of the Union address, Biden infamously quipped, “Putin may circle Kyiv with tanks, but he will never gain the hearts and souls of the Iranian people.”
Uh…okay…?
Remember What They Did to George W. Bush?
Then there was that time that Biden switched the word “horror” with “honor” when describing the tragic events of the Holocaust. He did this, of course, to a predominantly Jewish audience while speaking at an event in Israel.
Boy, that stutter is really getting bad with old age. Wonder why? Could it, in fact, be a sign of age-related mental decline?
We daren’t ask that question, of course, because that’d be bigoted…or something! He’s not the first president to misspeak! Remember George W. Bush?
In fact, I do.
And I also remember multiple top Democrats during his controversial presidency questioning George W. Bush’s mental prowess. What’s more, I distinctly recall a movement by Left-wing Democrats in Congress to impeach the forty-third president at least partly on the grounds that he was mentally unfit to be president.
We Need to Talk About Biden’s Mental State
The American people deserve to have a real discussion in public about the state of Joe Biden’s brain. It isn’t just partisans on the Right who want to have such a talk.
Most Americans are gravely concerned about Biden’s mental fitness, at least that’s according to a recent poll on the matter. The majority of American voters who are concerned about Biden’s mental state are not concerned simply because he’s an old guy and ageism is one of the last accepted forms of bigotry in the United States.
It’s because this guy ostensibly controls the nuclear football.
We now teeter on the brink of a nuclear world war with Russia over the fate of Ukraine.
A year into the conflict, Biden flew to Warsaw, Poland. While visiting US forces stationed there, he appeared to have been overcome by a warlike spirit and began stammering on about how, “For God’s sake, [Putin] cannot remain in power!”
Well, the Kremlin heard those presidential words. They imputed that the Americans were embracing an official policy of regime change in Moscow.
Whatever your opinion on the matter, the fact is that the prospect of American-backed regime change in Moscow has haunted Vladimir Putin for decades, ever since witnessing the American destruction of Putin’s fellow autocrats, such as Saddam Hussein of Iraq, Muammar Gaddafi of Libya, Egypt’s Hosni Mubarak, and the attempted American removal of Syria’s Bashar al-Assad.
Not only is our president—the most powerful in the world—shaking hands with people who aren’t there or conjuring dead congresswomen to stand and take a bow during his speeches but now Biden is blundering America into a possible nuclear conflict with Russia.
Why Did Trump’s Tweets Matter but Biden’s Words Don’t?
The president’s words have meaning. This was something we heard constantly from the very same forces now defending Biden’s seemingly endless stream of verbal snafus in relation to the mad tweets from former President Donald J. Trump at four in the morning.
Never once, though, did Trump’s presidential tweets risk nuclear Armageddon.
Actually, in the case of Trump’s twitter war with North Korea’s nuclear-arming, bloody-minded dictator, Kim Jong-un in 2017, it might have led to the most serious diplomatic breakthrough between Washington and Pyongyang in decades.
Thus, one could effectively argue it was part of a calibrated strategy on the part of the forty-fifth president. A rendition of Richard Nixon’s old “Madman” theory.
With Joe Biden, though, none of these nonsensical public displays are part of a wider strategy. Biden isn’t employing the “Madman” theory at all. He’s just mad. And Biden is mad because his mind has been withering before our eyes for years due to his advanced age. These things happen. When they do, they are tragic, and we should send our condolences to his family. But that sympathy on our part does not mean we should reward a possibly senile man with the nuclear codes.
So, yeah, it’s time for America to have a real discussion on Biden’s mental state and it’s possible impact on peace and war for our country. It isn’t ageist to say that.
If we don’t have this discussion soon, too, we might all regret it, given how serious—and rapid—Biden’s mental decline appears to be.
