SIG Sauer P210 – Due to its decades of popularity, we decided to review the SIG Sauer P210 for many clear and obvious reasons. The SIG Sauer P210 is a semi-automatic pistol originally designed for the Swiss Army in 1948. SIG Sauer produced the pistol for over six decades and released updated versions just a few years ago due to demand.

After testing, I found that the SIG Sauer P210 lived up to its reputation as a reliable, accurate handgun. The P210 feels balanced thanks to the weight of the steel frame and offers greater precision at further distances compared to most 9mm pistols.

While the SIG Sauer P210 is a well-engineered pistol, it may not work for everyone. Before purchasing a handgun, you should thoroughly explore its design, advantages, and limitations.

In this review, we’ll look at the specifications and performance of the SIG Sauer P210 pistol to help you decide whether it meets your needs.

Keep reading to examine the pros and cons of the SIG Sauer P210.

SIG Sauer P210 Overview

The P210 is a single-action pistol with a capacity of eight 9mm rounds. Both the slide and the frame are made from blocks of steel instead of relying on pressings or welding. The result is a more durable design.

SIG Sauer produced the P210 from 1949 to 2005. In 2017, the company released an updated version, which is often listed as the P210A. It is available in Standard, Carry, and Target versions.

The Standard version has an overall length of 8.4 inches, a width of 1.37 inches, and a height of 5.25 inches. The Target version is slightly wider while the Carry version has a shorter length.

The P210 has the same reputation as Swiss watches. These pistols are known for their accuracy and precision. The solid construction and simple design also allow for easy maintenance and longer service life.

SIG Sauer P210 Pros and Cons

  • Offers smooth, reliable performance
  • Superior accuracy
  • Easy to disassemble, clean, and maintain
  • The newer models are available in three versions

  • Relatively expensive pistol
  • Limited capacity compared to the alternatives

SIG Sauer P210 Features

The following features stand out as the most beneficial details of the SIG Sauer P210.

Machined Stainless Steel Slide and Frame

Most handguns feature welded or milled slides and frames. SIG Sauer uses stainless steel blocks that are precisely machined for increased accuracy and durability.

Comfortable Grip and Trigger Action

The SIG Sauer P210 typically has a hardwood grip with an ergonomic design. The design has a slim, low profile and a nice curve for fitting perfectly in your hand.

The trigger is also comfortable. It offers consistently smooth and crisp performance with every trigger pull.

Easy to Disassemble and Clean

With proper care, the P210 can last a lifetime. Luckily, the P210 is easy to maintain. You do not need any tools to disassemble the P210.

The slide retracts and moves out of the frame, allowing you to move the slide assembly forward and off. You can then easily remove the recoil spring assembly and barrel.

Social Proof

After searching the internet, I came across an abundance of positive SIG Sauer P210 reviews. In the following YouTube review, popular reviewer Hickok45 shoots and discusses the P210.

If the SIG Sauer P210 is not quite what you’re looking for, consider one of the following alternatives:

  • SIG Sauer P320 X Full Size
  • Glock 19 Gen 5 Pistol

SIG Sauer P320 X Full Size

If magazine capacity is your main concern, you may prefer the P320. The SIG Sauer P320 X Full Size is a 9mm luger with a striker-fired firing system and a capacity of 17 rounds. It is also typically more affordable compared to the P210.

Glock 19 Gen 5 Pistol

The Glock 19 is another high-capacity 9mm pistol that offers a good alternative to the P210. It is another highly reliable, accurate pistol. It is also a little more compact compared to the P210 but not small enough for concealed carry.

The P210 is a 9mm semi-automatic handgun that is known for its accuracy and dependable performance. It offers a lifetime of use when properly maintained.

The main drawback is the limited capacity. Glocks are available with two to three times the capacity. However, few other pistols match the P210 when it comes to reliability. Consider getting a SIG Sauer P210 if you want a pistol that can continue to perform like new decades from now.
