AOC Gets Earful from Activists at Town Hall – Political theater and protests have been something that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., has been used to dishing out at others.

However, Friday night, AOC found herself on the receiving end.

Activists crowded a town hall in her Queens district attacking her positions on a range of issues.

AOC Has Drama

The event descended into chaos.

A man wearing a Cuban flag T-shirt and holding American flags pushed toward the stage where AOC stood before being restrained by security. He yelled out, “Where are you on the migrant issue? I’ll tell you. You’re absent.” He then yelled obscenities at her.

A Twitter user noted the irony that someone wore the flag of Communist Cuba to the event.

“A guy with a Cuban flag on his shirt protested the socialist democrat AOC at a town hall. Cubans see the signs of totalitarian socialism on the horizon. They don’t want it here,” the tweeter said.

People in the room repeatedly booed her.

“America First. Vetted legal migrants only,” “Stop funding Ukraine,” “AOC: An Obvious Criminal,” and “AOC: Stop pushing drag queen story hour,” were among the signs held up at the event, The New York Post reported.

An unidentified woman stood up shouting, “We are on the verge of nuclear war with Russia. If we send F-16s to Ukraine, we are on the verge of nuclear war. It’s not okay. Are you going to stop this war? That’s my question.”

Another man shouted, “$100 billion for Ukraine that you voted for.”

Ocasio-Cortez Defenders Spar with Opponents

Others screamed at the anti-Ocasio-Cortez protesters saying they should turn off Fox News. Others called on the anti-Ocasio-Cortez protesters to show respect for the congresswoman.

“We all came here for the most part through Ellis Island,” a pro-Ocasio-Cortez speaker said. “Things are different. Things change over time.”

The hecklers responded yelling that immigrants should be legal, to which he replied they should be quiet.

A masked man denounced the hecklers as they walked out of the room saying, “There you go hiding behind the flag. You aren’t patriots.”

Ocasio-Cortez’ staff paid no attention to the claims being made during the town hall in posts on her social media.

“Thank you to everyone who joined us for tonight’s May town hall in Corona! We had such great turnout, even on Memorial Day weekend!,” her official Facebook page said.
