The Hunter Biden Scandal Total Stinks

According to an IRS whistleblower, the FBI has been slow-walking the release of critical information on Hunter Biden to Congress for political purposes.

Why is Hunter Biden Being Protected? – Several weeks ago, under the threat of obstruction of Congress, FBI Director Christopher Wray was forced to hand over more than a thousand documents pertaining to Hunter Biden’s allegedly illicit that his agency was preventing congressional investigators from seeing.

According to an IRS whistleblower, the FBI has been slow-walking the release of critical information on Hunter Biden to Congress for political purposes.

Two IRS whistleblowers have come forward—one has allowed himself to be identified—and testified under oath to Congress that the Department of Justice (DOJ) was obstructing their investigations into allegations that Hunter Biden committed tax evasion.

Again, the implication was that the DOJ was preventing the full weight of the government from being brought down upon Hunter Biden because of political considerations.

In fact, in the words of IRS whistleblower, Gary Shapley, his tax investigation into Hunter Biden started being obstructed by the DOJ around the same time that Joe Biden had become the Democratic Party’s presidential nominee in 2020. For Shapley (and anyone with a functioning brain), the timing is more than just convenient.

The DOJ was playing favorites.

More galling is the implication that Trump appointed (and one-time ardent defender), Attorney General Bill Barr, was allowing for his organization to slow down any investigation into Hunter Biden out of concern that it might negatively impact Joe Biden’s political prospects in the contentious 2020 Presidential Election.

Why Would Barr Protect Hunter Biden?

As an aside, this seems like a strange turn for Bill Barr who was dubbed by the media and supposed “insiders” on the Right as Trump’s most ardent defender.

Of course, those of us who were actually familiar with Bill Barr understood that, at his core, Barr was an institutionalist. He was not defending Trump per se.

Instead, Barr was protecting the DOJ from what he believed was the dangerous politicization of the department he loved by the Democratic Party during the insane Russia collusion investigation that plagued former President Donald Trump during the first two years of his single term in office.

And, as an institutionalist, that meant Barr was not going to always blockade threats to President Trump. Instead, he would protect and preserve the DOJ at all costs.

Thus, the notion that Barr was going to let his department be used in what he saw (incorrectly, in my opinion) as the Right’s politicization of it during a presidential election was absurd. That is why Barr allowed for his prosecutors to stymie any investigations into Hunter Biden once his father became the Democratic Party nominee.

In Barr’s mind (and likely the minds of the prosecutors looking into Hunter Biden’s supposed misdeeds), the DOJ would need to preserve its “integrity” as an “impartial” player with the Democrats. Because, unlike the Republicans, if the Democrats took power in 2020, they would punish those in the DOJ they believed were attacking them politically during the campaign. In fact, if the Left took power, they’d likely destroy the DOJ for its perceived politicization against their party unless Barr protected the institution by not pursuing the truth about the Hunter Biden allegations.

So, Shapley’s accusations against the DOJ from 2020 ring true because of the political considerations involved. It also explains why the Trump DOJ—as led by Bill Barr of all people—may have looked the other way while their investigators slowed down investigations into Hunter Biden.

The question that everyone must inquire about is why, exactly, is Hunter Biden being protected the way he is?

Why are senior government officials (especially those appointed by former President Donald Trump), like FBI Director Wray, preventing access to critical documents and witnesses that House Republican investigations have asked to see?

Hunter Isn’t Just a Troubled Soul

We have been told by the Biden Administration as well as by Hunter Biden himself that there is nothing to the allegations against Hunter Biden. For his part, Hunter insists that he is just a troubled soul with addiction issues that he’s working on.

His father, President Joe Biden, argues that the Republicans are being their mean-spirited selves by using a man’s addiction as a weapon against their political rival, Joe Biden.

If that were the case, why are key elements of the supposedly impartial federal government doing everything in their power—including risking punishment from Congress—to stunt the investigations into Hunter Biden? Why not just release everything to Congress when they ask for it to show how baseless the Republican congressional investigation into Hunter Biden really is? Why spend the last three years obfuscating?

It’s because, as noted legal scholar and George Washington University law professor, Jonathan Turley, has speculated based on the public statements from IRS whistleblowers, “at least half” of the allegations against Hunter Biden are true.

And, building off that, one can anticipate that the claims of Joe Biden’s centrality in Hunter Biden’s alleged crimes are also, at least partly, true (which is the real reason for why the DOJ and FBI continue protecting Hunter Biden, as he is a conduit to his father).

We aren’t allowed to know the extent and nature of Hunter Biden’s total crimes. This information is being withheld from us not to protect Hunter Biden’s dignity (whatever is left of it).

Going to Great Lengths to Protect Joe Biden

But to protect his father, who has likely been at the epicenter of a potentially illicit, international influence-peddling scheme designed to leverage access to Joe Biden’s various political offices in exchange for gobs of money from a variety of malign foreign governments (notably China’s) and multinational corporations.

If we could easily discover this toxic truth, Joe Biden would likely lose the 2024 Presidential Election to whichever Republican candidate he was matched against.

After all, most Americans polled indicated that if they had known the details of Hunter Biden’s “laptop from Hell” when it was first discovered in 2020, they’d have likely not voted for Joe Biden in that important election.

Given that fact, one can anticipate even more what looks like obstruction from official sources on the issue of Hunter Biden’s possible crimes. He will cause his father (and the Democratic Party) to lose what is a vital election if the truth ever comes out—and the Administrative States has made its preference for Joe Biden over the Republicans very clear.

Toward a Banana Republic

The Republicans must be given total access immediately to any and all evidence about Hunter Biden’s perfidy.

The very sake of our democracy is at stake. If we allow for the creation of a blatant, two-tiered justice system we will no longer be the world’s greatest republic. Instead, we will simply become another banana republic teetering on the brink of total collapse.
