Kamala Harris Needs Some Help

Joe Biden has the excuse of being 80 years old when he says dumb or incoherent things. Kamala Harris is in her 50s and is decades away from where she could be accused of any sort of senility.

Vice President Kamala Harris adopted one of Hillary Clinton’s favorite political acts: speaking with a Southern accent for black audiences.

Harris normally does not speak in the dialect; however, she made an exception for the Rev. Jesse Jackson’s retirement ceremony on Sunday.

Jackson retired after over 50 years as head of the Chicago-based Rainbow PUSH Coalition. The civil rights leader emerged as Martin Luther King Jr.’s veritable successor and was at King’s side when he was shot.

“We all know that politicians are essentially actors. On any given day, they can play the calm and collected leader, the stern and ruthless foreign policy expert, or the caring and empathetic family member. They’re none of these things, of course, but as long as they play the part convincingly enough and give the audience what they want, they’re allowed to get away with their own special brand of ineptitude,” commentator Ian Haworth wrote in a Washington Examiner column.

“But there are certain politicians who take this form of pandering to a whole other level by acting like a racial stereotype straight out of South Park to try and win over a crowd.”

Harris was there to give Jackson, who played an important role in the Democratic Party for decades, a send-off. She slipped into dialect saying “I said to the congressman, I didn’t know he could preach like that!” before bursting into uncontrolled laughter.

Kamala Harris Gaffes Getting More Commonplace

Joe Biden has the excuse of being 80 years old when he says dumb or incoherent things. Kamala Harris is in her 50s and is decades away from where she could be accused of any sort of senility.

In the past week alone, Kamala Harris spoke about the push to “reduce population” and how AI was two letters.

That followed on the heels of her controversial words about culture that were vacuous and meaningless. Critics thought she was talking to people like they were kindergarteners.

Fox News Contributor Marc Thiessen contends Harris comes across as being arrogant.

“Why is she so unpopular? One may be that none of the issues she’s taken on, like the border or anything else, she hasn’t made any progress and so part of that is the failure of the administration. But the other thing is that she has this habit of talking about the most mundane things in this deeply profound voice,” Thiessen said. “And when people hear that, when people hear her say, ‘Transportation is about getting people to the place they want to go,’ and says it in such a profound way, they think one of two things.”

Thiessen continued: “Either they think she’s stupid or they think, ‘She thinks I’m stupid.’ People don’t like to be talked to like a child. And so either they just lose confidence in her or they think she’s talking down to them, and that makes her profoundly unpopular.”
