Here’s When Californians Should Expect Their $1,050 Stimulus Check: As many as 23 million California residents are expecting stimulus checks from the state government worth as much as $1,050. The inflation relief payments, which have a minimum value of $200, come as part of the Middle-Class Tax Refund scheme.
Under the program, California taxpayers who filed an income tax return by October 15, 2021, are eligible for the payments as long as they filed less than $250,000 in earnings as an individual filer or $500,000 as a joint filer.
While payments have begun being issued, not all have been received and Californians should expect it to take up to a few more months until their payment arrives either in the bank or in the mail.
Claimants must have been a California resident for at least six months in 2020 and must be a California resident on the date of the payment.

Stimulus Check Predicted Timetable
If you haven’t already received your check, it just means it’s still on the way. Your place in the queue depends on what letter your surname begins with, and whether or not you previously received the Golden State Stimulus payment.
For those who did receive the payment, residents with a surname beginning with a letter from A to E should expect their checks to arrive between October 24 and November 5. For those with names beginning with letters F to M, the checks will arrive between November 6 and November 19.
For residents with a last name beginning with letters N to V, the checks will arrive between November 20 and December 3, and for those with names beginning with letters W to Z, the checks will arrive between December 4 and 10.
In short, anybody who received the Golden State Stimulus payment should receive their new payment before Christmas.
If you did not receive the Golden State Stimulus payment or you have changed your bank information since you filed your 2020 tax return, you should expect some slight delays.
California residents with a surname beginning with the letters A to L will be informed of when their check will arrive after November 7, and those with a name beginning with the letters M to Z will receive confirmation after November 21.
For those with a name beginning with the letters N to V, expect confirmation between November 20 and December 3, and for those with new banking information, the payment will be confirmed between December 17 and January 14.
