Is the Biden Family a Crime Family? We Must Get the Truth

Republicans must keep the pressure on the Hunter Biden issue. Don’t listen to the naysayers. Just as with Benghazi and Clinton’s private email servers, there’s more to the Hunter Biden story than we’re being told.

House Republicans Need to Keep Investigating Biden – Polling suggests that the American people are growing weary of the House Republicans’ ongoing efforts to investigate all things related to President Joe Biden. It’s true; endless investigations (and investigations into old investigations from when the Democrats held the majority during the Trump presidency) could backfire politically on the Republican Party going into 2024.

Yet, as Rachel Maddow was fond of saying about former President Donald J. Trump: where there’s smoke, there’s fire.

We Need Clarity on the Biden Family

Unlike the Democrats obsession with investigating Trump, though, there is ample evidence to suggest that President Biden’s family has been engaged in some legally questionable activity for years.

Republicans are onto something with the Hunter Biden investigation. This is why the Democrats are screaming like stuck pigs anytime that the First Son is brought up in a negative light in the press. If there truly were nothing to the Republican concerns about the Biden Family’s involvement in international influence-peddling schemes—as conducted by Hunter Biden—then why did the Left launch a full-court press to censor any information about Hunter Biden during the 2020 Presidential Campaign? Why the wild cover-up of Hunter’s “laptop from hell”?

The Hunter Biden Investigation

Rep. James Comer (R-KY) who heads the House Oversight Committee is leading the charge against Hunter Biden’s corruption. Thanks to Comer’s dogged pursuit of evidence supporting the charges against the First Son, his investigation has already uncovered deeply disturbing facts surrounding the movement of cash as part of a possible illicit deal with a Chinese firm. With that evidence in hand, Comer’s committee was able to gain access to bank records of the Biden Family, where more discoveries of suspicious transactions are being made.

Defenders of President Biden insist that the forty-sixth president has nothing to do with Hunter’s questionable business practices. But given what has already come to light about Hunter’s global escapades, it is obvious that he was representing “the Big Guy” in the Biden Family to these foreign entities, exchanging access to his father for lots of money.

That’s influence peddling.

That Hunter was doing this without even first having registered as a foreign agent with the FBI is a leading indicator of criminal activity. Given the stringent denials and protestations coming both from Biden and the rest of the Democratic Party, one can anticipate that Comer and the Republicans are over the target and must keep going, no matter the cost.

Finding the Dirt

After all, this is usually how Republicans get Democratic Party leaders.

Remember, it was an investigation into corrupt real estate deals in Arkansas that eventually led Republican investigators in the 1990s to the infamous extramarital affair between White House intern Monica Lewinsky and former President Bill Clinton. Without that initial investigation into the Whitewater real estate scandal, Republican lawyers (as led by Ken Starr) would have never been able to ask Clinton if he were having an affair while under oath. Had they never been able to ask Clinton the magic question under oath, he’d have not perjured himself, and no impeachment would have occurred.

Whether you agree with the Clinton impeachment or not, it set the Republicans up for greater success in what was then the pending 2000 Presidential Election. A key reason for why Americans voted for George W. Bush was because, as an Evangelical Christian, he was going to wash away the moral stains of the libertine Clinton presidency.

Similarly, when former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was running for what many assumed was her coronation as forty-fifth president in 2016, she was stopped dead in her tracks by a vicious House GOP investigation into her misuse of unsecured, private email servers with which she conducted classified government business on. The Republicans would have never discovered the existence of the private servers in the Clinton private home of Chappaqua, New York, had it not been for an earlier, wider investigation into Hillary Clinton: the Benghazi hearings.

After the gruesome al Qaeda attacks against the undefended American consulate in Benghazi, Libya on the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, Republicans rightly demanded answers as to how such an attack on a US consulate could have happened—and why the Obama Administration (of which Hillary Clinton was a part) did not respond adequately. Hillary, an already deeply divisive figure politically, was gearing up to leave Obama’s State Department and prepare for her 2016 run for president.

Having managed to escape blame for the failures at Benghazi, Clinton was unable to totally insulate herself from the fallout of that investigation. Because, as part of the Benghazi Committee’s investigation, they got information about Clinton’s private servers.

Once that information became public, the countdown to Clinton’s ultimate defeat in 2016 was set. Had it not been for a dogged GOP investigation into Democratic Party corruption, history might have turned out differently. This is a key fact that every Republican member of the House must keep in mind as they push ahead to get Hunter Biden—and receive strong pushback from their Democratic Party colleagues and the press for doing so. The goal must be twofold: to discover actual impropriety on the part of President Biden and to damage Biden politically, so that he can be more easily defeated by whoever will be the GOP nominee in 2024.

Never Quit, Never Surrender

Republicans must keep the pressure on the Hunter Biden issue. Don’t listen to the naysayers. Just as with Benghazi and Clinton’s private email servers, there’s more to the Hunter Biden story than we’re being told. Where there’s smoke, there’s fire…and something tells me the Republicans are about discover an inferno of corruption and bad faith in the Biden Family—all of which could lead to a Republican victory in what will surely be a nasty 2024 election.
