Swirling around a room full of Indian diplomats, looking like a shark in freshly chummed water, Hunter Biden, the wayward son of President Joe Biden, was clearly prowling for a big fish to devour.
Fresh on the heels of having plead guilty to (very reduced) charges of tax evasion, a known drug addict, and all-around misanthrope, the First Son had no business being at such a high-level event.
That is, unless he was actually ginning up business for his allegedly corrupt father.
To be clear: the kind of business that Hunter Biden is believed to be in is illicit, international influence peddling. And he isn’t peddling his own influence as the First Son.
No, Hunter Biden is believed to have been dangling exclusive access to his high-ranking father before scores of foreign government and multinational corporate leaders in exchange for barrels of cash.
According to recently released What’s App text messages from 2017 between Hunter Biden and the head of a major Chinese firm, Raymond Zhao, Hunter Biden was pressuring Zhao to finalize a deal Hunter had made with the Chinese national by telling him that his father, the then former vice-president, was sitting next to him, seeing all the messages between Zhao and Hunter.
The implication in that exchange was that Joe Biden was not only involved in his son’s allegedly illegal business schemes, but that the elder Biden was orchestrating those deals and his son was merely a go-between.
A major House investigation is underway into these matters. It defies explanation as to why Hunter would have been at his father’s side at the major state visit between the Indian prime minister and President Biden…unless, as per the usual, Hunter was drumming up business for his father.
Biden’s Numbers are Terrible
As for the forty-sixth president, his approval rating is in the tank.
The man can barely string together a sentence. The world is burning under his watch. The economy, despite what the left-leaning press and the pliable government bureaucracies are saying, is on life support.
Most experts on Wall Street believe we are on the brink of a major recession. Americans are more divided today than at any time other than the American Civil War. And Joe Biden’s son is wandering the great halls of the White House, likely looking for cash from foreigners.
Yet, Biden insists that he is running for reelection in the 2024 Presidential Election.
In fact, Biden is so convinced he’ll win another sclerotic term in office that the forty-sixth president is refusing to debate any of the challengers to his nomination in the Democratic Party, notably Robert F. Kennedy, Jr.
Nothing projects strength like being afraid to fight a man like RFK, Jr., whom Biden and his surrogates deride as an anti-science crank or a woman, such as Marianne Williamson, who dabbles in crystal-healing mysticism.
At the same time, President Biden’s running-mate, Kamala Harris, is a babbling disaster. Known for her endless word salad speeches and her inability to resolve any issue that she’s been assigned, many are rightly questioning why America’s first female of color vice-president is even being asked to run again alongside the ailing Joe Biden.
The approval ratings for both President Biden and Vice-President Harris should scare the bejesus out of Democratic Party elites. Sure, it’ll be a squeaker in 2024 if former President Donald J. Trump is the Republican Party’s nominee. In all probability, the independent voters and minorities will be turned off again by the perceived nastiness of the Trump Campaign and will likely opt to reelect the “safe” (albeit unpopular) Biden.
Even then, though, people should not underestimate either former President Trump or the American peoples’ desire for political change after four years of a disater, hyper-partisan, basically failed Biden presidency.
RFK, Jr., Would Be Unbeatable
If the potential Biden-Trump matchup is already polling within four points—the margin of error—of each other, then the Democrats cannot rest on the notion that enough independents and minority voters will show up to offset whatever support Donald Trump receives.
If, however, the Democrats were smart, they’d recognize that playing-it-safe won’t be enough for them to move forward to victory. A radical reappraisal of their circumstances is needed.
Biden is just as likely to implode by Election Day 2024 as Donald Trump is (and if Biden squares off against Florida’s Republican Governor Ron DeSantis, who is also running against Trump for the GOP nomination, Biden will lose).
That’s too much of a gamble.
Most successful people I know, despite appearances to the contrary, do not gamble. They go for sure things. Supporting Biden no matter what is a total gamble.
Despite the obvious fact that the Democratic Party is going to rig its own primary, as they did for Hillary Clinton over Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) in 2016, RFK, Jr., continues doing well in the polls. RFK, Jr., is maintaining a solid 20 percent.
Although he is significantly behind Biden, the fact of the matter is that RFK, Jr., is maintaining double-digits in most polls in spite of the obvious rigging of the Democratic Party’s primary process in Biden’s favor.
Democrats Should Lift the Scales and Let RFK, Jr., Compete
Imagine what would happen if the scales were lifted. RFK, Jr., would trounce Biden-Harris. What’s more, RFK, Jr., would give either Trump or DeSantis a serious challenge in the General Election. And if RFK, Jr., nominated someone that the Democratic Party elite favored, such as California’s Governor Gavin Newsom to be his running-mate, it is likely that RFK, Jr., would defeat the Republican ticket—whoever was on that ticket—in a landslide victory.
Thankfully for the Republicans, the Democratic Party is totally bought out by special interests. It will be a cold day in Hell before the Democrats ever allow for the nomination of someone as independent and anti-corporatism as RFK, Jr.
So, it will be the sluggish Biden-Harris versus the (based on Trump’s current standing in most polls for the GOP Primary) controversial Donald Trump-Nikki Haley or Trump-Kari Lake ticket in 2024.
Thus, the election will be far closer than any powerbroker in either political party would want it to be, if only because senile Joe Biden and the permanently enraged Donald Trump are both so deeply unpopular with most voters.
But if the Democrats were daring, they’d throw all caution into the wind, rid themselves of the detritus that is the Biden-Harris ticket and embrace RFK, Jr.-Gavin Newsom as their heralds for change. Plus, it’d be really fun to watch. The sort of exhilarating political change that was only experienced once before when Donald Trump dominated the 2016 Republican ticket.
Unlike the Republicans, though, the Democratic Party is thoroughly owned by big business and other special interests (and in Joe Biden’s case, some would say the Chinese Communist Party). They’ll never run that particular risk. Too bad for them. Good for the GOP.
