Joe Biden Is One Confused President

Joe Biden seemed to want to hang out with one of the guards and have a brief conversation despite King Charles’ several attempts to motion him away in another direction.

Glancing at a profile image of the President of the United States and the King of England shaking hands, the two older gentlemen looked to be related with their white hair and similar slightly slumped forward shoulders and upper back.

However, that’s where the similarity ends.

King Charles is not that far behind Biden’s 80, yet Britain’s royal family patriarch seems to be much more aware of his surroundings than his U.S. ally.

In yet another disconcerting appearance, President Joe Biden seems to wander aimlessly during his visit with the newly anointed King at Windsor Castle in London as the two engaged in some pomp and circumstance during an honor guard inspection

Joe Biden seemed to want to hang out with one of the guards and have a brief conversation despite King Charles’ several attempts to motion him away in another direction.

All Fun and Games

Typical reactions of Biden’s senior moment flooded Twitter. While I have rather consistently expressed some sympathy for the fact the Democrats are putting the elder statesmen in these unmanageable social positions where he is clearly discombobulated, I must admit, many of the Tweets had me giggling.

“My 2 month old daughter gets the same look on her face when she sees her toes,” one user Tweeted.

Another said, “So that’s a hat? It’s not your actual hair?” fabricating a quote from Joe Biden as he stood chatting with the guard.

All kidding aside, it’s difficult to understand how Democrats can seriously put this man on the ticket for 2024.

While, at 74, the King of England is not exactly what one may call spritely, for all intents and purposes, he is not really responsible for running his country. The King is a figurehead and the royal family an institution that symbolizes the country’s rich history more than an influential head of state.

The agility and acuity of the leader of the free world should be given much more consideration and, when in decline, be much more bothersome.

Other Royal Family Flubs

The Royal Family seems to be a source of consistent confusion for Biden. Last month, he capped off a speech on gun violence by saying “God save the queen, man.” Never mind that Queen Elizabeth died almost a year ago. The quote was totally out of context and was completely unfitting for the moment.

According to a report on Axios even Olivia Dalton, the White House’s principal deputy press secretary, didn’t know what her boss meant. When journalists asked, she replied only that he “was commenting to someone in the crowd.”

The news outlet dismissed that such frequent gaffes from Joe Biden are merely “off beat proverbs” and “just Biden being Biden.”

That’s the problem. Biden being Biden should worry everyone more than it seems to.

Different Reactions from the Press

Per the norm in the liberal media vs. conservative contest these days, many on Twitter called out the disparate treatment of Biden vs. Trump in the press.

Colin Rugg, creator of the website “Trending Politicstweeted out the following:

“NEW: A confused Biden walks in front of King Charles during his visit to the UK. The media doesn’t seem to have an issue with this. Let’s see what they had to say when Trump walked in front of the queen.”

He then proceeded to list all the headlines from CNN, Time, Yahoo, Slate, and others that lambasted then President Trump for walking ahead of Queen Elizabeth in a 2019 meeting, even though Biden did the exact same earlier this week.

No Ado About Nothing for Joe Biden

The meeting of two heads of state as consequential as the U.S. and Britain is usually cause for much ado.

However, the most recent visit between the two nations didn’t seem to make much of a splash according to Nile Gardiner, the director of the Heritage Foundation’s Thatcher Center for Freedom, which focuses on promoting the legacy of freedom that former British Prime Minister Lady Thatcher championed.

“Some of the footage was a bit odd really, and the whole visit just looked pointless. It doesn’t seem to be a really invested visit. It hasn’t been fully planned out.”

“I’m also struck by the lack of attention there has been in the U.K. generally to the trip. Usually a visit by a U.S. president is a very big deal,” Gardiner said. “This hasn’t had the kind of high impact that you usually see with a presidential visit.”

Accordingly, much more attention should be paid to Biden’s increasing decline and the failing relationships around the world that will result if it’s allowed to continue unchecked.
