Representative Lauren Boebert (R-CO) is spending too much time and energy tearing apart the United States Congress with her quixotic schemes to “save” the republic (by destroying it) to see that her family is in crisis.
Her oldest son, Tyler, was supposed to appear in a Colorado court on Monday, April 17, regarding his involvement in a car accident on Sept. 17 in which he was cited by the police for “careless driving causing bodily injury.”
According to Rep. Lauren Boebert, she was unaware that her son was scheduled to appear in court and that he had not shown up.
How could this be?
Whose Family Values?
Boebert has long championed her commitment to family values. Recently, during a debate in the House of Representatives over whether to renew provisions of the Endangered Species Act protecting grey wolves, Boebert began distributing actual photos of dead human babies as a form of protest highlighting how the same government that wants to protect endangered species refuses to protect the unborn. While her sentiment is shared by many—including this author—her methodology leaves much to be desired.
Reports of Tyler Boebert’s accident indicate that he and his 19-year-old friend were driving with marijuana and Xanax in the car that ultimately was flipped over in the crash caused by Tyler. The 19-year-old friend was Noble D’Amato who ended up with a concussion and other injuries while Tyler Boebert walked away from the accident. What’s more, according to D’Amato, Rep. Boebert is using her position to cover up for her wayward son.
D’Amato is being charged with some serious crimes, although he was not the driver of the vehicle when the accident happened. Tyler Boebert, meanwhile, is having his charges downgraded because he copped to a plea deal.
Sure, one could say that Tyler Boebert—who is a soon-to-be father—is 17 and the law is more lenient on minors, such as Tyler. At the same time, however, who among us can deny D’Amato’s claim that his powerful mother is using the position of her office to shield her troubled young son from the law.
Interestingly, when the impropriety of Tyler Boebert’s behavior and subsequent light legal treatment (especially when compared to the way his friend was treated by the law) was brought up to Rep. Boebert’s office in Washington, D.C., her press secretary replied with a stream of counter-accusations about the purported double-standard that exists in the media when reporting on children of elected Republicans compared to those children, such as Hunter Biden, or Democratic Party politicians.
The chutzpah of Rep. Boebert is legendary.
Boebert Acts Like a Biden
The fact is, the Republicans are rightly leading a major effort to uncover the deep corruption of Hunter Biden. By comparing the struggles her son is experiencing from his own irresponsible actions to the way the media has shielded Hunter Biden, Boebert is diminishing the Republicans’ attempts to pursue Hunter. What’s more, she is clearly abusing her position in Congress to guarantee preferential treatment for her irresponsible son.
Lauren Boebert is behaving no differently than the Biden Family does.
Further, her son is clearly in crisis. According to D’Amato, who is now dealing with the fallout from Tyler Boebert’s reckless driving, Tyler Boebert was speeding “as if he didn’t care.” Given the presence of marijuana and Xanax in the car, Tyler Boebert is going through some things as a young man.
Where is his family values-supporting mother?
She’s using her position in Congress to deflect blame from her son’s negligent behavior as well as covering up the whole incident. And when she’s pressed on the matter, Boebert and her team of congressional lackeys shamelessly try to act like they’re the victims by bringing up Hunter Biden.
Lauren Boebert is a walking disaster for the Republican Party. She’s likely going to lose her next election to the far more popular Adam Frisch, a Democrat, which means the GOP is going to lose Colorado’s Third District because of Boebert’s lunacy and possible corruption. Beyond that, if Boebert really were about family values and saving children, she’d refocus her attention on the children in her immediate family. Get them right and then worry about other issues.
Lauren Boebert has got to go. She acts way too much like a member of what some now call the Biden Crime Syndicate. A shame.
