Representative Jamie Raskin (D-MD) is incorrigible. Standing defiantly in front of the hearing room where more details of the extent of Hunter Biden’s alleged corruption were revealed under oath, Raskin had the gall to totally dismiss what, if it were any other person being targeted by a congressional investigation, would have been a slam-dunk case for impeaching Hunter Biden’s father, President Joe Biden.
But because it’s Joe Biden, Raskin, a man who impeached former President Donald J. Trump with far less evidence, has no qualms about abjectly lying to the public about the seriousness of the charges against Hunter Biden (and, by extension, his father).
Raskin isn’t the only top official who is loyal to Joe Biden to publicly lie and obfuscate about just what, precisely, the Biden Family has been up to for all the years that Joe Biden sat in high, elected office.
Lying About Devon Archer’s Testimony
In the wake of the testimony of close Hunter Biden business associate, Devon Archer, four-term Rep. Dan Goldman (D-CT), who was an impeachment manager for the Democrats during the utterly unnecessary and overwrought Trump impeachment crisis in 2019, downplayed the seriousness of Archer’s revelations.
The mainstream media, which has long carried water for Joe Biden (and the Democratic Party, particularly in the aftermath of the Trump presidency), was more than happy to broadcast Rep. Goldman’s misleading descriptions of the damning Archer testimony.
For example, a bevy of major news networks—from MSNBC to CNN and multiple publications, like Time Magazine—carried the headline that Archer told the House Oversight Committee that Hunter Biden “sold the illusion of access.”
Almost as quickly as that statement was disseminated, though, the fact checkers actually did their jobs and proved that this was not what Archer had told the House Oversight Committee under oath.
That phrase was a deliberate obfuscation by the Democratic Party and their allies in the media to try to trick ordinary voters into thinking that there was still no there-there to the Hunter Biden story.
Absolutely nothing has changed in the way that the Democrats and their mainstream media allies have responded to this ongoing controversy.
Lying to Protect Biden Since 2020
In 2020, a group of 51 semi-retired top intelligence community leaders signed a shameful letter crafted by the Biden Campaign claiming that the accusations against Hunter Biden were little more than “Russian disinformation.”
Using that letter as a pretext, the news and social media companies of America went to work censoring any outlet or individual that attempted to share with the American people the truth about the Hunter Biden scandal—all to protect their chosen candidate for president that year, Joe Biden (who almost certainly has benefited from Hunter Biden’s various business deals overseas).
We now know, thanks to the presiding judge denying the plea deal, that Biden’s DOJ attempted to give Hunter Biden a sweetheart plea deal on tax evasion charges. The deal was declined by the judge because the prosecution and defense teams could not agree on whether the DOJ plea deal would have extended to other crimes that Hunter Biden has been accused of.
A Refusal to Investigate
We also know, thanks to two high-level whistleblowers from the IRS, that their long-running investigations into Hunter Biden’s finances were sliced apart by the DOJ. The DOJ prosecutors told one of the IRS whistleblowers, Gary Shapley, that any investigation into Hunter Biden’s finances would necessitate an investigation into any accounts associated with Hunter’s bank accounts.
According to Shapley, the DOJ prosecutors were hesitant to follow that particular threat because that would likely have implicated Joe Biden in whatever nefarious financial schemes Hunter Biden is believed to have been involved in.
So, the Administrative State, elements of mainstream news and social media ecosystem, and (obviously) the Democratic Party have been covering for Joe Biden since at least 2020.
The fact of the matter is that if the truth of Hunter Biden’s perfidy were revealed to the public, unencumbered by the hackery of partisan outfits, like MSNBC, most Americans would utterly refuse to vote for Joe Biden’s reelection.
That’s why the entire media and bureaucratic machine has to go in overdrive—coordinating with the Democrats—to downplay and obfuscate as many people as possible about the truth of the Hunter Biden scandal.
