Key Point: Keeping Joe Biden for 2024 could be a disaster for Democrats. Would Michelle Obama ever consider jumping into the 2024 race? I guess we will find out.

Michelle Obama Mentioned as Joe Biden Replacement – Joe Biden’s legal problems and age have people mentioning former First Lady Michelle Obama as a potential replacement at the top of the Democratic ticket. She remains popular among Democrats.

Despite Donald Trump’s mounting indictments, he and Biden remain statistically tied at 43% apiece, according to a recent New York Times poll.

This likely has Democrats nervous because, under normal circumstances, the president should be way ahead of his rival, particularly one under multiple criminal indictments.

The liberal New Republic noted that Trump could beat Biden in a shot across the bow for Democrats.

“We are in a position where Trump could win the popular vote if polls are showing a dead heat but have the same amount of bias as in the past two general election cycles. If so, the possibility of Biden winning drops to effectively zero,” The New Republic said.

Trump won in 2016 because Hillary Clinton was even less famous than himself.

Today, Joe Biden is highly unpopular, increasingly viewed as corrupt, and too old to be president.

British Press: Michelle Obama Will Replace Biden

Michelle Obama has been mentioned in the British press as the likely replacement for Biden.

“A source says that in conversation with a foreign politician, it emerged that their government assumes Joe Biden will not be the Democratic nominee in 2024. Joe will pull out before the first primaries; it will be too late for a grassroots candidate to enter the fray; an establishment stooge will be crowned at the convention,” Telegraph columnist Tim Stanley reported. “And the name of that lucky winner? Michelle Obama. It’s a wild scenario, but if it does happen, please remember that you read it here first.

Stanley continued, “This anecdote confirms what I’ve heard from UK sources, too: when governments engage with Biden they feel they are dealing with the face of an administration but not always the person in charge. Were the Democrats to drop him from their presidential ticket, the world would understand.”

He notes that Vice President Kamala Harris has no chance of replacing Biden at the top of the ticket due to her lack of charisma and her lightweight character.

Having Obama at the top of the ticket would be a de facto continuation of her husband’s administration.

“A Michelle Obama replacement would suggest he’s always been Barack’s third term, a conspiracy theory endorsed by Barack Obama in a 2021 interview. He said: ‘Joe and the administration are essentially finishing the job’ begun by Obama and paused by Trump, noting that ‘ninety percent of the folks’ who worked for him are now back at their desks. This was an exaggeration, but not by much. The figure of Obama people working for Biden, among his top 100 aides, was closer to 75 percent,” Stanley wrote. “… [J]ournalists often joke that Obama is running the country from his iPhone, and a recent, much-read interview between reporter David Samuels and historian David Garrow highlighted a curious detail …”
