Lauren Boebert is one of the most controversial members of the Republican Party-led (barely) House of Representatives.
A stalwart conservative, a woman who is to the Right of Marjorie Taylor-Green, Sarah Palin, and even Donald Trump, Boebert has militated Leftists and moderates alike against her dreadful reign of ignorance.
Having barely won her rural, generally conservative district back in Colorado because her constituents were tired of Boebert’s antics, Rep. Boebert refused to alter her behavior slightly.
Now, Boebert finds herself again being opposed by the Democratic Party’s Adam Frisch, who lost to her in 2022 by only 500 votes and trailing by two percentage points.
One can expect that Boebert will lose much more support, the closer we move to election day in 2024.
Lauren Boebert is an Awful Candidate
It is a testament to how awful Lauren Boebert is at her job that she could even be in jeopardy of losing Colorado’s mostly conservative, rural Third Congressional District.
That she is losing it not only to a Liberal, but to a man who was an international businessman—a globalist, in the parlance of the Right—should show just how poorly Boebert has performed in her role as a representative for her district in Washington, D.C.
In 2022, Boebert almost lost to Frisch, who had almost no backing from the Democratic National Committee (DNC) because the national Democrats assumed he’d lose to Boebert. The surprise of 2022 was not that Boebert won.
It was how close her reelection bid was.
That 500-vote differential (which triggered an automatic recount, by the way), basically bought Adam Frisch the support of the national Democratic Party—and gave credence to the fact that Boebert was not the insurmountable conservative monolith she had billed herself.
Now, Boebert is flooding the email boxes of anyone on the GOP’s mailing lists (I know, I’ve received multiple automated pleas from her campaign that went directly into my trash folder) begging for financial help.
The former restaurant owner might want to dust off her skillet and unholster her spatula, though, because Boebert’s chances at winning in 2024 are slim to none.
Not if she’s already this desperate.
The End is Nigh for Boebert
It’s yet another example of how Trumpism is not the political force we believed it was going to be when it first appeared on the national stage in 2016. It’s also indicative of how poorly Trump-backed candidates have performed—not just this most recent election cycle but going back to 2018.
This will likely be Lauren Boebert’s last term in office.
I, for one, am more than happy to see her go. I just wish there was a better Republican running to replace her, as every seat matters in Congress. Adam Frisch is a very intelligent, wealthy, and therefore dangerous possible replacement for Boebert.
There the Democrats go again: replacing incompetent Republican ideologues with highly skilled Leftists out to “fundamentally transform” America.
