Shocking Video Shows Impact Of Kremenchuk Strike At Ukrainian Mall – Ukraine released shocking CCTV footage from the region surrounding the Amstor mall in Kremenchuk that was struck by a Russian missile on Monday. The footage shows the impact that the strikes had not just on the mall but also on the nearby parks and city streets.
Footage from a local park shows civilians running from the blast. The explosion can be seen in the near distance, with shockwaves visibly moving trees and the water of a pond in the center of the park. Debris falls to the ground as. The black smoke in the air creates a moving shadow across the ground, and one civilian can be seen jumping into the water for protection.
Other civilians hide behind a tree as the blasts continue.
At least two missiles are understood to have been dropped on the site, roughly 50 meters apart. One of the missiles struck the mall, and another appears to hit a factory next to the mall.
Footage of the Kredmash factory shows how the building was left completely destroyed, with metal beams warped and damaged, rooves collapsed, and the ground full of rubble.
Moscow Denies Direct Strike, Evidence Suggests They’re Lying
After G7 leaders condemned the attack as a war crime during a summit in Germany, Moscow responded by denying that the mall was hit directly by any Russian missiles.
Russian President Vladimir Putin told reporters in Turkmenistan that the Russian army never targets civilian infrastructure – a claim that top Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov has also repeatedly made throughout the war.
“Our army does not attack any civilian infrastructure site. We have every capability of knowing what is situated where,” Putin said.
“Nobody among us shoots just like that, randomly. It is normally done based on intelligence data on targets,” the Russian leader continued, adding that he is “convinced” the Kremenchuk attack was conducted properly.
Igor Konashenkov, a Russian Defense Ministry spokesman also claimed that the attack was conducted with precision-guided weapons against “hangars where armament and munitions were stored.” He also claimed that the strike on those weapons factories is what caused the fire at the shopping center, which he also claimed was “non-functioning” at the time of the strike.
But Russia is of course lying. Not only does video footage and satellite imagery disprove claims that Russia did not strike the shopping center, however, but the claim that the shopping center was “non-functioning” at the time is also inaccurate.

Video footage also shows rescue workers pulling victims from underneath the rubble at the shopping center, proving that people were inside the building at the time of the strike.
The rescue effort is ongoing in Kremenchuk, but its clear the casualties will be high. Some pretty horrific footage from inside the building — not reposting. But these are the scenes outside. pic.twitter.com/eDeRPKNBmh
