Ukrainian Tank Chases Russian Soldiers – New Video footage from Donetsk Oblast shows the moment that a Ukrainian tank charges toward Russian soldiers fleeing their position.
In the video, the Russian soldiers – identified by Russian flags – can be seen standing and sitting in a field next to a hedge row.
Moments later, trees are seen collapsing in the hedge row and the Ukrainian tank suddenly begins to charge.
The tank in the clip is a Soviet-era T-72 – a tank also commonly used by the Russian forces.
As the Russian soldiers begin to flee, with some running into the trees and others running in a straight line along a dirt path, the Ukrainian tank begins to fire at the Russian troops, with surely devastating results.
While the exact location of the assault was not revealed in the clip, it appears to have been shared by the K2 group of the 54th Mechanized Brigade, which is based in Bakhmut, Donetsk Oblast.
The footage also appears to be recent.
Trees still do not have their leaves, but the ground is no longer covered in snow.
Watch T-72AV Go Up In Flames
Another incredible video shared on social media this week shows a Russian T-72AV tank destroyed by Ukrainian drone operators.
The tank, which appears to be damaged and abandoned, goes up in a ball of flames after being hit by a drone-dropped munition.
The clip, shared by popular war-tracking Twitter account Ukraine Weapons Tracker, shows the tank left abandoned aside two destroyed residential buildings.
Aerial footage is combined with drone footage, showing the moment a munition is dropped into the open Gunner’s hatch.
The footage from the drone shows the munition landing directly into the hatch and immediately causing a fire inside the tank.
Switching to the aerial footage, the flames in the tank caused further explosions, leaving the tank engulfed in giant flames.
According to Ukraine Weapons Tracker, the munition used in the clip is a Soviet F-1 hand grenade.
“In the East, a damaged Russian T-72AV tank was destroyed by another drone-dropped munition, right through the Gunner’s hatch. This time an F-1 grenade was used,” Ukraine Weapons Tracker writes.
