The Numbers Are in: Joe Biden Scares America

In early May, an ABC News/Washington Post poll was released showing that 68 percent of the American people polled believe that President Joe Biden is too old for another term as president.

Indeed, Biden is the oldest man to have ever been president.

What’s more, if reelected, he will be an astonishing 82 years old. If he were to serve out his entire four-year term as president, he’d be 86. His age is a problem, whether he, his party, or the mainstream media want to admit it.

If the shoe were on the other foot, you can rest assured that the Democrats and their media allies would be making an aging Republican’s age an issue.

It’s Acceptable When Democrats Do It

In fact, this is precisely what the Democrats did in the 1980s when they were being devastated by Ronald Reagan. They again played the age card in 1996, when Bob Dole challenged Bill Clinton.

The Democrats were so craven in their ageist attacks on Republicans that they claimed Vietnam War hero, Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) was too old to serve as president. Democrats even tried to make the fact that McCain was born in the Panama Canal Zone as a disqualifier for him to run for president in 2008.

No matter, the Democrats are now in the position that the Republicans had been in previous years, an aged-out candidate who should be sitting in front of a television at his local old folks’ home rather than sitting in the White House Situation Room.

Now, age no longer matters.

It’s just another example of how unfairly the Democrats play politics. They’re playing for keeps and will not let yesterday’s line of attacks on Republicans be used against them by those same Republicans.

Joe Biden: Age Should Matter

Think about it, though. Forget Reagan and McCain. We’ve never had a president as old as Joe Biden. The average male lifespan in the United States is 77 years-old. Biden is three years older than that. He’s also gothealth problems. And with age, unlike wine, everything diminishes—from mental acuity to balance—the body is in terminal decay.

So, why shouldn’t age matter in the 2024 election?

The fact of the matter is that Joe Biden has already demonstrated an unacceptable level of age-related weakness. He can barely walk.

The forty-sixth president has fallen going upstairs to Air Force One. Biden has collapsed from sitting on a stationary bike. The president nearly did a faceplant while visiting overseas leaders in Japan. Biden was taken down by a flat stage while emceeing the Air Force Academy graduation.

Then there’s the mental acuity bit that should be most concerning.

President Biden cannot speak. Sure, we’ve had presidents who were terrible public speakers. Former Republican President George W. Bush was legendary in my growing-up years for his verbal incontinence (or am I misunderstimating that?) Nevertheless, George W. Bush’s relative youth when compared with Biden’s age gave him wiggle room that the current president simply lacks.

It’s been said that Mr. Biden struggles with a lifelong stutter – and we applaud his efforts to work hard to move past it. Indeed, it is documented that Joe Biden did have a childhood stutter. It has also been reported that the forty-sixth president overcame that impediment many years ago, long before he entered national politics in the 1970s.

While we give him all the credit in the world for beating that challenge, such a situation is no longer an excuse that his defenders use to try to cover for the fact that Biden’s public presentation does not fill the American people with confidence. That, if all things were equal in 2024—which they are not—most voters would simply refuse to reelect such a compromised candidate to the most powerful office in the land.

The New York Post did a report recently on the president’s daily schedule. They determined that the leader of the Free World works a meager 30 hours per week.

If Biden were the president of the Federated States of Micronesia, working part-time would make sense. As the world’s sole remaining supposed superpower, that kind of daily schedule simply won’t cut it.

Who will be there when the phone rings in the Situation Room at four in the morning and the president needs to trundle down from the White House residence to handle a national security crisis?

Perhaps we should be soothed by the fact that Biden isn’t really in charge. How could he be, if that’s his daily schedule? In fact, Biden is a figurehead for a cadre of vicious, radical Left-wing partisans who desire only to implement the most extreme agenda in history.

If they can get Biden’s political opponents to fixate on his age and other superficial things, they can distract voters from the truly insane policies being enacted.

But the age issue is a key problem for Biden. Increasingly, Americans realize that he’s not just another old white dude in the Oval Office. He’s the oldest. And he’s probably not really in charge. Nor is his vice-president, the stumbling, bumbling Kamala Harris

The country is like an airplane left on autopilot whose crew has been knocked out by a lack of oxygen in the cabin. The aircraft appears to be operating normally, save for the fact that the crew has asphyxiated. The plane will continue flying just like normal—that is, until it begins running low on fuel. The autopilot will keep the plane going but, inevitably, the plane will simply burn through its fuel, crash, and kill everyone onboard.

This is what the Biden presidency is doing to America. We’re all asleep. We’ve been soothed into a false sense of security about Biden’s presidency by a partisan media that refuses to ask tough questions about Joe Biden. Biden’s handlers, meanwhile, keep the country moving—but just barely…and in the wrong direction.

If enough people, though, recognize that Biden’s age is a major hindrance to him and the prosperity and safety of the country, then, 2024 might go differently.

America might be able to get off its autopilot to decline and prevent its ultimate destruction. Don’t ignore Biden’s age. It’s a major cause of failure that must be reversed by voting him out of office. He won’t get better in a second term. Moreover, he might not survive the full second term—which means Vice-President Kamala Harris, who is in many ways scarier than Biden, takes over.

Please, dear voters, let age be a deciding factor for you this time in 2024.
