To all but the most faithless actors, President Joe Biden is one of the worst picks imaginable to be the commander-in-chief.
The man who sits atop the federal government for the most powerful nation in the world—who commands a potent nuclear-armed military—needs to be physically fit and mentally sharp.
Joe Biden is the oldest man to be president in our nation’s history. Even if the official claims from Biden’s medical team are true (I do not believe they are), the fact that he is so old means that Mr. Biden is neither sharp nor fit.
Concerns over Biden’s fitness to be president have plagued him since he announced his initial candidacy for the presidency in 2020. It’s one of the reasons why he struggled to win the Democratic Party’s nomination in that fateful year.
Gender and Race Politics Run Amuck
In fact, had it not been for the intervention of Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC), a longtime leader in the African-American community, Biden probably would have lost the Democratic Party’s Primary in South Carolina. But part of the alleged deal he made with Rep. Clyburn to gain his support and the support of the African-American community was that Biden had to pick a woman of color as his running-mate.
Hence, the ascension of Kamala Harris as Biden’s VP nominee.
Younger, supposedly smarter, and more competent, and the right color as well as gender, Harris was billed as the best pick imaginable. All these things mattered not just because Democrats love their diversity hires but because the implicit notion of bringing Harris onboard was that she could assume the presidency after Old Joe kicked the proverbial bucket.
After all, Joe Biden himself once described himself in 2020 as a “transition candidate.” Plus, we know that the real power behind Biden—the Obama organization of Leftists—have long supported Kamala Harris.
According to unlikely Republican presidential candidate and former nationally syndicated conservative radio talk show host, Larry Elder, all the talk about replacing Biden with California’s Democratic Governor Gavin Newsom is not going to happen.
If Biden is to be replaced at some point, it will be Kamala Harris who succeeds him, no matter what. In Elder’s estimation, Harris’ skin color and gender insulate her from being removed.
Kamala Harris is Here to Stay
What’s more, Harris’ apparent lack of competence makes her the perfect candidate for the modern Democratic Party. It means she can be better controlled. The same forces manipulating Joe Biden will be the same people maneuvering a potential Kamala Harris presidency. She will get the power of the presidency but will be controlled by the same shadowy, radical Left-wing interests that President Biden is.
The important thing to understand with the modern Democratic Party’s power structure is that they not only don’t care about having a strong personality as their president. The Democratic Party’s power elite actually desire to have a weak president, one who is malleable to the stronger, unelected forces that surround that president and those who pay for the Democratic Party.
For the Democrats, their organization of radical ideologues who would be unlikely to ever get elected in their own right. It is easier to have an empty vessel as president—either one that is medically compromised due to old age or one that is poorly matched to the job, such as the diversity hire that is Kamala Harris.
Harris is Popular with Minorities, Too
Further, Harris’ support among minorities is much higher than her overall approval ratings. Among the African-American community generally, she has around 70 percent support (although it’s trending lower among African-American men).
Beyond that, Harris’ appeal to women is solid.
These are vital constituencies for the Democratic Party and often serve as an electoral silver bullet when Democrats find themselves in extraordinarily tight elections against the Republicans, as I believe that 2024 will be.
Thus, Kamala Harris’ place as the heir apparent to Joe Biden is assured because of her ability to be the next best sock puppet in the Oval Office for the powerful forces who truly run and support the Democratic Party. Democrats don’t want a competent, strong leader. They want a marionette. Like Joe Biden, Kamala Harris is a perfect marionette.
As Larry Elder postulated, Democrats are truly “stuck with her!”
