Donald Trump Never Had a Chance in 2020 – During the 2020 Presidential Election, the FBI told social media companies and news organizations that news regarding the illicit contents of Hunter Biden’s laptop was “Russian disinformation,” despite the fact that, according to a whistleblower, that the FBI knew the laptop and its contents were not disinformation.

This, as polls suggest that most Americans who voted for Joe Biden in 2020 would have instead voted for former President Donald J. Trump if they had known about Hunter Biden’s crimes (which they did not because the information was universally censored on social media apps and throughout the mainstream news).

There’s your real election interference, Donald Trump Team. Not the bizarre conspiracy theories surrounding voting machines in Germany and Venezuelan hacks of those servers.

The Real Election Interference in 2020

The real perfidy was in the run-up to the election, when key elements of America’s elephantine national security bureaucracy conspired along with the Biden Campaign as well as most major news and social media firms to cover up a significant story about alleged corruption surrounding the Democratic Party’s presidential nominee that year.

The fix was in then.

According to FBI Special Agent Laura Dehmlow, who was with the FBI’s Foreign Influence Task Force in 2020, the Bureau was “conditioning” social media companies to accept the notion that the Hunter Biden laptop was Russian disinformation.

This was not simply a misreading of intelligence by the FBI.

It was, instead, an over-the-top scheme by the Bureau to undercut the best line of attack against Joe Biden by the Trump Campaign in 2020.

The FBI was using tactics to trick social media firms into censoring ordinary Americans who dared to share the Hunter Biden laptop story for domestic political purposes.

Heads need to roll at the FBI—starting with the current hapless director, Christopher Wray. Of course, this won’t happen so long as the Democrats are running the government.

Seeing as they were the obvious beneficiaries of this purported FBI election interference, why would the Biden Administration ever consent to rein in the FBI?

This cuts to a deeper problem pertaining to the security state: how much power is too much power?

When the FBI and DOJ Interfered in an Election…

We saw in 2016 how the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) courts were abused by corrupt elements of the FBI counterintelligence division and the Department of Justice (Peter Strzok of the FBI and his lover, DOJ attorney Lisa Page), to pursue Donald Trump for—wait for it, I still laugh at the thought—being a Russian spy who allowed for Russian intelligence to rig the 2016 election against Hillary Clinton.

To be clear: it has been proven that the FISA Court process, which is a secretive court that was designed to allow for our domestic security services to pursue suspected spies without revealing critical sources and methods, was abused by senior government personnel during the Obama Administration to prop up the Democratic Party in the 2016 election.

When that did not work, those same intelligence services that had been weaponized during the ’16 campaign quickly went to work with the Russia collusion narrative—which has since been proven to be false.

But it did significant damage to Trump’s presidency.

Then, in 2020, the exact same groups worked to cover up incriminating evidence that might have prompted a deeper investigation into the Biden Family finances back then.

They Wanted to Kneecap Donald Trump

At the very least, they endeavored to ensure that the Trump Campaign could not use the Hunter Biden information to convince the public that Joe Biden wasn’t worthy of being president. To some degree, these weaponized institutions were effective in repulsing the Trump efforts at reelection (and Trump’s big mouth and shabby COVID-19 response helped ensure that he couldn’t win reelection in 2020).

The recent revelations of the two IRS whistleblowers, Gregory Shapley and Joseph Ziegler, as well as the recent claims by former FBI Special Agent Laura Dehmlow—coupled with the previous examples of senior ranked FBI and DOJ officials abusing their positions to stymie the Trump presidency—show a concerted effort on the part of certain groups of bureaucratic leaders within the national security state to influence domestic politics.

Not only is this unfair but it is unconstitutional. Much deeper investigations into this must be undertaken by the Republican-led House of Representatives. If it’s not stopped now, this awful behavior will continue happening. More dangerously, it will likely spread to much more of the bureaucracy.
