Hunter Biden and Joe Biden Face a ‘No-Win Scenario’

If Hunter Biden’s case goes to trial, it could prove politically embarrassing for Joe Biden.

If Hunter Biden’s attorneys and the Justice Department prosecutors fail to reach a new plea agreement, he and his father, President Joe Biden, face a no-win scenario because Hunter could go to jail and Joe could be politically damaged.

The prior agreement fell apart due to the judge’s concern over the Diversion Agreement that would have given Hunter Biden blanket immunity from future prosecutions.

Under the defunct plea agreement, Hunter Biden agreed to plead guilty to two misdemeanors for failing to pay his taxes in 2017 and 2018, the years he received significant payments from the Chinese military intelligence-linked State Energy HK Limited and CEFC China Energy.

Hunter Biden admitted that CEFC China Energy’s CEO Ye Jianming had been his business partner at the hearing and that he had done legal work for his deputy Patrick Ho, who he called the “spy chief of China.”

The White House says Joe Biden will not pardon his son.

The president could find it politically impossible to pardon his son due to calls of favoritism. At the same time, politically compromising information could come out during Hunter Biden’s trial that could politically damage the president.

This particularly appears to be the case with the upcoming testimony of former Hunter Biden business partner Devon Archer, who stands ready to tell the House Oversight Committee that Joe Biden frequently participated in their deals. Archer likely will state for the record that Burisma owner Mykola Zlochevsky demanded that Hunter Biden call his father following a Burisma board meeting in Dubai.

Joe Biden answered the call. Archer and Biden’s other former business partner Tony Bobulinski attest that the president participated in numerous other conversations.

Archer and Bobulinski could be potential witnesses in a criminal trial.

Joe Biden Lied In Presidential Debates

The president denied that anything unethical had transpired with regard to Hunter and his involvement with Hunter’s businesses.

“Nothing was unethical. With regard to Ukraine, we had this whole question about whether or not, because [Hunter] was on the board, I later learned, of Burisma, a company, that somehow I had done something wrong,” Joe Biden said while debating Donald Trump. “Yet every single solitary person when [Trump] was going through his impeachment, testifying under oath who worked for him, said I did my job impeccably. I carried out U.S. policy. Not one single solitary thing was out of line. Not a single thing, number one.”

The recently disclosed FBI FD-1023 form that was completed months before the debate alleged that Joe Biden had received a $5 million payment – reportedly a bribe – to pressure the Ukrainian government to fire Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin.

Joe Biden also denied having made any money from China.

“My son has not made money in terms of this thing about — what are you talking about — China. I have not had it. The only guy that made money from China is this guy. He’s the only one. Nobody else has made money from China,” Joe Biden said at the second debate in October 2020.

Hunter Biden’s business partner James Gilliar cryptically noted in a May 2017 email that Joe Biden would receive 10 percent from the proceeds of a deal in Louisiana involving CEFC China Energy.

The White House revised its stance that Joe Biden never discussed his business deals with his son. It now claims that Joe Biden never was in business with his son. When pressed on the subject by a reporter, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre said that nothing had changed in the president’s position regarding his son’s business deals.

Hunter Biden Admits Having Made Money From China

Hunter Biden acknowledged that he had received $1 million for Ho’s legal defense into an account belonging to his law firm Owasco, LLC. In 2018. He also acknowledged starting a company called Hudson West with Ye. A witness stated that Hunter Biden had made $664,000 from CEFC China Energy.

Court proceedings disclosed that Hunter Biden had made $500,000 from Burisma.

The court transcript shows that Hunter Biden made $666,666 through his Rosemont Seneca, LLC. Firm.

If Hunter Biden’s case goes to trial, it could prove politically embarrassing for Joe Biden.
