Joe Biden Keeps Snapping At Reporters During NATO Summit – Only days after an Axios report revealed how President Joe Biden snaps at members of White House staff, frequently swearing and losing his temper, President Joe Biden offered the world a glimpse of his real temperament when he took a sarcastic swipe at reporters during a NATO meeting on Wednesday.
Video footage emerged this week showing the president making a joint statement with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, during which he made a dig at reporters for asking the wrong questions.
Following the end of the discussion between the two leaders, President Biden’s aides told reporters it was time to leave the room, prompting some to shout out some final questions in the hope that the president would respond.
One reporter shouted a question at President Zelenskyy, asking if he was “satisfied” with the promise of eventual membership of NATO.
“President Zelenskyy, are you satisfied with what you got from NATO? You were so frustrated yesterday. Is this enough? Are you satisfied, sir?” a reporter asked.
The Ukrainian president began answering the question, stating that there is “great unity” among NATO leaders and that the summit was a “success.”
When another reporter ignored orders from Biden’s team to leave the room, asking how soon Zelenskyy would like to see NATO welcome his country into their organization, President Biden appeared angry and snapped at the reporter.
“An hour and 20 minutes!” Biden snapped.
Then, with a smile, the president sarcastically told reporters that they “ask really insightful questions.”
The meeting took place in Vilnius, Lithuania, where President Joe Biden attended the latest NATO summit. On the agenda was the possibility of welcoming Ukraine – a nation at war with non-NATO member Russia – into the military bloc. The consequences of allowing Ukraine into NATO could potentially be catastrophic for the West, effectively turning a proxy war against Russia into a direct global conflict with the country.
Joe Biden Gets Angry (Again)
In another clip, this time during remarks made in Helsinki, Finland, on Thursday, the president snapped at a Finnish reporter for asking whether political instability in the United States could cause problems for NATO in the future.
“Hearing this answer that no one can guarantee a future, are you worried that the political instability in U.S. will cause issues in the alliance in the future?” a Finnish reporter asked the president, prompting a noticeably angry response.
“Let me be clear, I didn’t say we couldn’t guarantee a future. You can’t tell me whether you’re gonna be able to go home tonight, no one can be sure what you’re going to do. I’m saying as sure as anything could possibly be said, about American foreign policy, we will stay connected to NATO. Connected to NATO, beginning, middle, and end. And we’re a transatlantic partnership, that’s what I’ve said,” Biden responded.
The president’s anger was immediately noticed by the Republican Party, with the clip quickly shared to the Republican National Committee Research Twitter account.
