Joe Biden Is Angry – An Axios report on Monday appeared to suggest that President Joe Biden’s apparently calm demeanor could be just an act, with White House insiders claiming that the president is known to get angry and swear at staff behind closed doors.
The report comes as rumors swirl that California Governor Gavin Newsom may be preparing to challenge the president for the 2024 Democratic presidential nomination and as the White House grows increasingly concerned about Vice President Kamala Harris’ widespread unpopularity.
What the Report Says About Joe Biden
According to the report, President Joe Biden doesn’t discriminate against senior or lower-level aides, with insiders saying that “no one is safe” there.
Biden aides reportedly still talk about how the president lost his temper with Jeff Zients, formerly the White House COVID czar, when there was a shortage of Omicron testing kits in late 2021.
Sources told Axios that the president is known to demand people leave the rumor and swear at aides who he believes aren’t telling the truth. Among comments made by the president are “God damn it, how the **** don’t you know this?” and “Don’t ******* ******** me!”
Current and former Biden aides also said that the president is known to tell people to “Get the **** out of here!”
Sources also said that Biden will grill aides on issues until it’s clear that they don’t know the answer to a question, a process that some call “stump the chump” or “stump the dummy.” A source also said that many consider being yelled at by the president as a form of initiation ceremony for anyone who joins the team.

Behind the aviators, the smiles, and the ice cream, the president has a temper that he often can’t control. Reports have frequently described how the president will lose his temper not only with his staff, but also with foreign dignitaries, politicians, and public figures.
In October, reports revealed how the president “lost his temper” when Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy asked the United States for further assistance, soon after Congress had approved $1 billion extra in military assistance.
In June, 2021, the president also apologized to Kaitlan Collins, CNN’s top White House correspondent, after he lost his temper with her during a press conference following the Geneva summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Collins had asked the president whether he believed that the Russian president would change his behavior after their meeting, prompting Biden to angrily respond, “I’m not confident he’ll change his behavior. Where the ****, what do you do all the time, when did I say I was confident?”
The occasional angry outbursts stand in conflict to campaign material published by the Biden campaign, often portraying the president as a friendly, wise, and playful older man who likes ice cream, children, and family values.
