President Joe Biden Just ‘Tripped’ On the World Stage

Joe Biden stumbled again.

This time he tripped while boarding Air Force One after departing from the NATO Summit in Vilnius, Lithuania.

The 80-year-old president constantly reminds voters of his age with his falls and verbal gaffes.

A Stumbling History

A month ago, Joe Biden tripped and fell during the commencement ceremony at the U.S. Air Force Academy. It marked the third highly public fall of his presidency. The first happened in March 2021 while Biden climbed the stairs to Air Force One. The second happened in June 2022 when Biden fell off his bicycle while going over to talk to well-wishers.

The president caught Washington off-guard following the Wagner uprising by suggesting that Vladimir Putin was losing in Iraq, not Ukraine.

It builds the narrative that the president is senile and incapable of executing the duties of his office, something White House Physician Kevin C. O’Connor denies.

Doctors have told media outlets that Biden’s falls could be indications of worse health problems than the president and his handlers let onto.

“Whether you’re going to lose your presidency, or lose your driving license or lose your job, subjectively, you will be under-appreciating your symptoms, and not putting enough importance to those symptoms,” Elena Mucci, a geriatric doctor, and American College of Physicians member told The DailyMail. “I think [Biden] knows exactly what is going on, but he’s not openly acknowledged it because he doesn’t want to lose that presidency.”

Pressure Mounts On Joe Biden to Step Down

In many conservative circles and some centrist commentators, Biden’s physical and verbal public stumbles are building pressure for him to be the first incumbent president to decline a second term since Lyndon Johnson announced his decision to bow out of the 1968 campaign.

A new poll finds that 67 percent of voters say someone younger should take the reins due to his falls and his gaffes. Many say younger candidates like California Gov. Gavin Newsom, Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, or Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg should take his place at the top of the Democratic ticket.

If Joe Biden wins a second term he would be 82 when he would take office in January 2025 and 86 when he would leave office in January 2029.

“President Joe Biden needs a tuneup. He’s a stiff when speaking at the lectern. When not a stiff, the 80-year-old can be a dolt, saying, as he did this week, that Russian President Vladimir Putin is “losing the war in Iraq” when he meant Ukraine, or blurting out a senseless, “God save the Queen, man,” at a gun control rally last week.

The English language has never been Biden’s friend, so it’s logical that his managers, er, his aides, have limited his exposure to the press. No president since the equally doddering Ronald Reagan has held so few press conferences. Not since Ray Leonard’s ill-advised third comeback has a contestant seemed so out of condition for a big rumble,” Politico Senior Media Writer Jack Shafer wrote last month.
