The tumultuous divorce saga of two-term Colorado Republican Representative Lauren Boebert has taken an unexpected turn as her husband, Jayson Boebert, reportedly struggles to respond to the divorce petition she filed due to financial constraints, according to the RadarOnline magazine.

Lauren Boebert Can’t Break Free

Lauren Boebert initiated legal proceedings against her husband of nearly two decades, Jayson Boebert, on April 25, asserting that their relationship had become “irretrievably broken.” However, according to information obtained from the Mesa County Clerk’s Office, Jayson has yet to submit a response, citing financial limitations that prevent him from securing legal representation.

Sources close to the couple have reportedly disclosed to RadarOnline.com that Jayson’s inability to afford a lawyer has left him grappling with the challenge of navigating the divorce process. Allegations suggest that Lauren’s spending habits have drained a significant portion of their marital funds, rendering Jayson’s legal participation in the divorce proceedings challenging.

Despite the mounting legal battle, the insider information claims Jayson remains deeply attached to his wife.

The current situation hinges on Colorado’s legal requirement for individuals to respond to a divorce petition within 21 days of being served. It appears Jayson is taking extra time, possibly in a bid to mend the fraying relationship. The couple, who share four sons ranging in age from 17 to 10, has a history spanning nearly two decades.

Insiders further unveil the emotional turmoil Jayson has endured, attributing the divorce to his own perceived shortcomings. The source explained that Jayson acknowledges his role in the marital breakdown, citing communication gaps and feelings of neglect as contributing factors. With Lauren’s hectic schedule as a congresswoman and Jayson’s demanding career, the couple has reportedly faced challenges in nurturing their bond.

Despite the impending divorce, Lauren and Jayson reportedly maintain daily communication and still consider each other as close confidants. The separation seems to have spurred introspection, as both parties reflect on the issues they’ve faced during their relationship.

The divorce proceedings have cast a spotlight on the financial aspects of their marriage. Lauren is seeking custody of their children and requesting financial support for her lavish lifestyle in Washington, D.C. Jayson, who earned substantial sums as a consultant for Terra Energy Productions, earned $478,000 in 2020 and $460,000 in 2019, according to Associated Press.

Unsubstantiated rumors of an affair involving Lauren Boebert have added another layer of complexity to the divorce narrative. These allegations prompted a response from Lauren herself, firmly denying any romantic involvement with Christian country singer Sean Feucht. Amid the swirling speculation, the representative maintained her focus on her professional responsibilities.

Jayson, while declining to comment for this report, conveyed to Westword.com that no animosity or ill feelings exist between him and Lauren. Despite the challenges, both remain committed to their family and each other.
