Be Afraid: Gavin Newsom Is Now ‘Mr. Conservative’

California Governor Gavin Newsom seemed to adopt a more conservative persona in an interview with CNN’s Dana Bash earlier this week, claiming more than once that he’s “old-fashioned.”

California Governor Gavin Newsom seemed to adopt a more conservative persona in an interview with CNN’s Dana Bash earlier this week, claiming more than once that he’s “old-fashioned.”

Newsom is a fan of repeating catchy phrases. In an NBC interview back in June he invoked the term “level set” multiple times.

He seemed to latch onto “old fashioned” to convey the message that even as an elite politician who follows none of the rules he lays out for his constituents, Newsom truly is just like every man in America who wants justice for all.

Gavin Newsom Wants Accountability

He used the adjective to describe himself as the motivation for his lawsuit against five top oil companies (BP, ExxonMobil, Chevron, Shell, and ConocoPhillips) as well as their trade group, the American Petroleum Institute.

The state alleges the companies knowingly deceived the public about the risks of fossil fuels causing harm to communities and the environment. Newsom equated it to the cover-up of the dangers of smoking by the top tobacco companies back in the 50s and 60s.

The man who needs an excessive amount of petroleum products to maintain his hairdo said the suit is about “accountability.”

“It’s fairness. We’re all paying the price, you’re paying the price. I’m an old-fashioned guy,” Newsom stated with his characteristic smug chuckle.

“If you’re responsible for creating problems, you have to be accountable and you have to be responsible for solving those problems. Polluters pollute and they should be accountable for their pollution.”

Yes, Governor Gavin Newsom, and bu******ers bu****** and they should be accountable for their bu******.

This is ripe coming from a leader who single-handedly destroyed the state’s economy, devastated children’s learning, and locked people in their homes subjecting them to a slew of mental health-related illnesses.

Who is holding Newsom accountable? Or Fauci? Or Big Pharma?

Those who speak out against the narrative that Newsom or Fauci or vaccines are anything other than the saviors in the story are immediately shut down. Because apparently, accountability is for everyone except themselves.

Gavin Newsom’s Just “Not That Guy”

Newsom also summoned his newfound charming old-fashioned persona when it came to adamantly defending a president who almost three-quarters of Americans believe is not up to the task of a second term.

“I want a seasoned pro that knows how to get things done,” Newsom said in the same interview with Bash. “I’m a little old-fashioned. I want a guy who produces results — and the results are in, it’s been a masterclass.”

Excuse me while I clean up the coffee I just spit up all over my computer.

Really? A masterclass in results?

What results could he be talking about? Persistent inflation? A culture of antagonism, division, and victimhood? Open borders and a fentanyl crisis?

Don’t just take my word for it. According to recent polls, Biden’s approval ratings on everything from the economy to foreign policy are in the tank.

Gavin Newsom isn’t dumb. He and everyone else knows Biden is not making it through this next election cycle. He’ll continue to avow his undying support to the current administration. He’ll reaffirm he will not run for the 2024 presidency, even if Biden doesn’t make it, and say, “No, I’m not that guy, I’m just not.”

Oh, but he is that guy. He’s exactly that guy. And it has nothing to do with being old-fashioned and everything to do with being an opportunist.
