Comer: Joe Biden received $40K from Hunter’s China deal – House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer said that he has proof that President Joe Biden personally benefitted from a business deal between his son Hunter and CEFC, a company linked to the Chinese Communist Party.

“Remember when Joe Biden told the American people that his son didn’t make money in China? Well, not only did he lie about his son Hunter making money in China, but it also turns out that $40,000 in laundered China money landed in Joe Biden’s bank account in the form of a personal check,” the Republican Kentucky representative said. “And the Oversight Committee has it.”

In a video message posted online, Comer claims that in 2017, Hunter Biden demanded $10 million from his business associate from the CEFC, claiming that he would face the full might of his father’s connections if he didn’t come through with the money.

“He (Hunter Biden) was sitting with his father and that the Biden network would turn on his associate if he didn’t pony up the money,” Comer related in the video, saying that the younger Biden warned his associate, “you will regret not following my direction.”

Based on a Whatsapp conversation between Hunter and his associate, Comer said that the younger Biden essentially “extorted” the money by brandishing his family’s last name.

“I am sitting here with my father and we would like to understand why the commitment made has not been fulfilled. I am very concerned that the Chairman has either changed his mind and broken our deal without telling me or that he is unaware of the promises and assurances that have been made have not been kept,” read Hunter’s message to Henry Zhao, the director of Harvest Fund Management, a Chinese asset management firm.

“And, Z, if I get a call or text from anyone involved in this other than you, Zhang or the chairman, I will make certain that between the man sitting next to me and every person he knows and my ability to forever hold a grudge that you will regret not following my direction,” Hunter also said to Zhang, who messaged back saying that the “CEFC is willing to cooperate with the (Biden) family.”

As a result, Comer claims that $5 million was wired to Hudson West III, an entity put up by Hunter Biden and a CEFC associate, Gongweng Dong. That entity in turn sent $400,000 to another entity, Owasco, P.C., which Hunter solely owns. Owasco then sent $150,000 via wire transfer to Lion Hall Group, a company owned by President Biden’s brother, James, and his wife Sara. Sara in turn pulled out $50,000 in cash from Lion Hall and deposited $40,000 to President Biden’s personal account, marking the transaction as a “loan repayment.”

Democrats, however, have come to Biden’s defense, saying that the same bank records held by Comer and the GOP – obtained through subpoenas – show that the president sent his brother $200,000, ostensibly as a loan, and thus would be eligible to receive payments on the said loan. The Kentucky representative counters, however, that James Biden paid his brother – only 48 days after being sent the $200,000 – from monies obtained from Americore Health, a business James had a relationship with but was undergoing financial difficulty.

Comer claims that James, like his nephew Hunter, also used “influence peddling,” utilizing the Biden last name to obtain the $200,000 from Americore. However, there is no direct link established between Americore and the president; the camp of James Biden says that his business dealings have always been separate from and unconnected to the president. Comer also says that that do date, there is no “official” document that points to the $200,000 transaction between the brothers as being a loan.

In the video, Comer says that there is “more to come” as the GOP’s impeachment proceedings against the president and his family continue.
