There’s a strain of thought out there that the Hunter Biden investigation is meaningless. Certainly, this is what the Democrats want as many people to think as possible.
In fact, the left goes one step further and says that the Hunter Biden investigation is entirely fictitious.
It’s the result of bad faith politics on the part of the Republican Party, the Democrats accuse.
And perhaps the Republicans will prove unable to take Hunter Biden down. But, the walls, as they so often used to say about Trump’s various scandals, are truly closing around the First Son.
The question really is how much will any of this matter?
If a Tree Falls in a Forest…?
If Hunter Biden is as guilty as the Republicans believe, then proving it should be possible.
Will the FBI and DOJ care, though? Or will they move to protect Hunter Biden as part of a larger mission of protecting Hunter’s father, their boss, President Joe Biden?
This might be a moot point.
The floodgates may be breaking beyond what the so-called “Deep State” can contain.
After much back-and-forth, Hunter Biden’s ex-business partner, a man who knows the intricacies of the First Son’s sordid web of lies and corruption, is set to testify before the Congressional committee investigating Hunter Biden.
Devon Archer has been described as a man who “played a significant role in the Biden family’s business deals abroad, including, but not limited to China, Russia, and Ukraine.”
In fact, in 2014, then-Vice-President Joe Biden is recorded by official logs as having met with Archer on the eve of Archer’s trip to Ukraine — the year that Archer’s business partner and Joe Biden’s son, Hunter, scored a deal with Ukrainian energy giant, Burisma.
A key element behind the Republicans’ desire to speak with Devon Archer under oath is to determine whether the claims that President Biden has made about having “nothing to do” with Hunter Biden’s allegedly illicit international influence peddling schemes are accurate.
The White House Changes Its Story
On the heels of the news that Archer was set to testify next Monday before the House GOP-led committee investigating Hunter Biden, the White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre immediately walked back both her boss’ and her own previous comments claiming that Joe Biden had no linkage to Hunter Biden’s businesses.
Rather than reiterate the stark denials the Biden administration has issued earlier this year, Jean-Pierre offered a more nuanced explanation about the relationship that Joe Biden had with Hunter Biden’s business. We’ve gone from President Biden had nothing to do with his son’s businesses to her claim that neither Joe Biden nor his son “were in business together.”
That is evidence enough that the Democrats, despite their haughtiness in the press about Hunter Biden’s connections with his father’s finances, are scared about the House GOP investigation.
You can only cover up so much. As those who doggedly pursued President Richard Nixon were so fond of saying, “follow the money!”
That’s precisely what the Republicans are doing. By unearthing the financial dealings of Hunter and his family, the House GOP is setting themselves up for what I believe to be a victory.
Follow the Money!
At some point, money cannot lie. It goes where it’s loved. If the accusations about Joe Biden are true, then, he really loved the money that his son was generating from all his dealings with these foreign governments.
The Democrats are scared because they know that the walls are closing in. Hunter Biden knows it, too. The truth will out.
The only real issues are: when will that truth be fully revealed, before or after the 2024 election? Also, what will the “Deep State” do to protect both the Biden Family and itself?
Get ready for one wild ride. Things are just getting started with this story.
