VIDEO: Ukraine Destroys Russian Rocket Launchers, Howitzers, Tanks, and More – Dramatic video footage shared by the Ukrainian military recently and reposted on Twitter shows how high-precision strikes can quickly and effortlessly take out virtually all of Russia’s most important military vehicles, howitzers, and more.

The strikes occurred in Donetsk Oblast, where Russian forces are still trying to accomplish their goal of “liberating” the entire region.

The video footage shows a Russian BM-21 Grad multiple rocket launcher, a self-propelled howitzer, at least two T-72B tanks and a BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicle all taken out by Ukrainian artillery fire.

The videos appear to have been recorded by rotary-blade unmanned aerial vehicles and show each military vehicle left in states of total disrepair following the strikes.

The clips were reposted to Twitter by popular war-tracking account, Ukraine Weapons Tracker.

“A Russian BM-21 Grad 122mm multiple rocket launcher, a 2S3 152mm self-propelled howitzer, two T-72B tanks and a BMP-2 IFV were destroyed by high-precision strikes of the 59th Motorized Brigade in the vicinity of city of #Donetsk,” Ukraine Weapons Tracker writes.

Ukrainian Forces Holding Lines of Defense in Donetsk

The dramatic video footage comes as Ukrainian forces continue to maintain their defensive positions on the frontline of Donetsk and Russian forces step up their aggression in the hope of achieving at least one of their initial goals of the invasion.

Last week, following a call with U.S. General Mark Milley, the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces revealed that Russia is carrying out as many as 50 daily attacks in Donetsk, in the hopes of taking control of the entire region.

“Fierce fighting continues in the area of Vuhledar and Maryinka,” Valeriy Zaluzhnyi said.

“We reliably hold the defense. In some areas of the front we have managed to regain previously lost positions and gained a foothold.”

While the Ukrainian commander-in-chief didn’t offer specifics about where the Ukrainian military has regained ground, he did confirm that his troops continue to hold down the city of Bakhmut and are attempting to “stabilize” the frontline surrounding the city.

It follows weeks of intensifying Russian aggression in satellite towns around the city of Bakhmut, with Russians hoping to take full control of the city.

Last week, British intelligence suggested that Russian forces had gained ground to the north of the city but were struggling in Vuhledar to the south.

Fighting in Donetsk Oblast is expected to continue for the foreseeable future, with Russian forces expected to focus on both Donetsk and Luhansk in renewed offensives.
