Donald Trump Could Be Going to Jail for ‘Moving Boxes’

Through over-accusing, Democrats have made it difficult to tell what is real, and where Donald Trump really ran afoul.

New media reports on Donald Trump and his classified documents problems look ominous.

Some are even saying he could be charged soon.

What is real and what is hype?

Donald Trump: The Lastest Scandal

Just days before the FBI raided Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort in search of classified documents, two Trump employees moved boxes of papers from the property. The report comes as Justice Department special counsel Jack Smith is investigating the incident, debating whether to charge Trump criminally.

Here’s what happened, according to multiple news reports. An anonymous Trump worker saw Trump’s valet, Walt Nauta, moving boxes into a storage room. The anonymous worker helped Nauta despite not knowing what was inside the boxes.

When did this happen? The worker wasn’t precisely sure but could confirm that the boxes were moved sometime before DOJ lawyer Jay Bratt showed up at Mar-a-Lago with federal agents in June 2022.

Apparently, Trump and his aides also staged a “dress rehearsal” for moving sensitive documents. The dress rehearsal happened before Trump received a subpoena in May, suggesting he may have anticipated the need to move documents in a hurry.

The ongoing investigation

Now, prosecutors are considering whether to charge Trump criminally for keeping classified documents and reportedly showing the documents to others.

“The reports come as Trump’s lawyers are seeking a meeting with Attorney General Merrick Garland about the Justice Department investigation of classified documents found at Mar-a-Lago,” USA Today reported. “It’s often a sign that an indictment is coming soon.”

The investigation’s grand jury has been on an extended pause, having not met since May 5 – which is the longest pause taken since December. The pause corresponds with the naming of Jack Smith to oversee the DOJ investigation. “Smith is investigating whether the former president mishandled classified documents and whether he obstructed justice by defying a subpoena to return documents he had taken from the White House.”

Trump has, naturally, denied that he did anything wrong. Steven Cheung, Trump’s spokesperson, issued a statement alleging that the DOJ investigation “is nothing more than a targeted, politically motivated witch hunt against President Trump that is concocted to meddle in an election and prevent the American people from returning him to the White House.” Cheung continued, by accusing the DOJ of harassing “anyone and everyone who works, has worked, or supports President Trump.”

Witch hunt or legitimate?

I don’t have a difficult time believing that Donald Trump is authentically corrupt. The game has been scheming and swindling his entire life. Right now, Trump is involved in four separate criminal “incidents” and one recently concluded civil trial in which he was charged with sexual harassment. At a certain point, you’ve got to identify the lowest common denominator (Trump) and draw some reasonable conclusions.

Then again, Trump has been unfairly targeted in the past. He is the absolute White Whale, not just for the Democratic Party, but for the entirety of left-wing America.

Even last month, when Manhattan DA Alvin Bragg charged Trump criminally – marking the first time in U.S. history a president has ever been charged criminally – the case was so thin as to suggest political, rather than legal, motivation.

So, when Trump says he is the subject of a witch-hunt, he does so with some validity. He’s been the subject of witch-hunts in the past and he’s likely the subject of a witch-hunt right now. But mixed in amongst the illegitimate witch-hunts are legitimate inquiries relating to prospective corruption. But the problem comes in sifting through the various charges and investigations and discerning between the legitimate inquiries and the witch-hunts.

Through over-accusing, Democrats have made it difficult to tell what is real, and where Trump really ran afoul.
