Hunter Biden: The Most ‘Protected’ Man in America?

Should Hunter Biden go to jail? If the entire force of the bureaucracy stops protecting him, and he is found guilty, absolutely. Others on the other side of the aisle are being punished for much less.

Add the Hunter Biden laptop scandal to the list of bad behavior by Democrats that warrants legitimate investigation but seems to get swept under the rug

At least for 771 days or so.

On November 21, 2022, The New York Post commented that it took CBS news over two years to confirm the authenticity of the information from Hunter Biden’s former laptop the Post had originally reported on October 14, 2020. In that two years, there was a well-coordinated effort between the Biden administration, security agencies, including Attorney General, Merrick Garland, and Big Tech to hide the truth including asserting that the whole incident was merely a “Russian disinformation” campaign.

Incriminating information against Joe Biden and his involvement in his son’s business dealings with Burisma, a Ukrainian oil company, continues to be dismissed. However, the youngest son of the President is now potentially facing prosecution for a handful of charges: two misdemeanor counts for failure to file taxes, a single felony count of tax evasion related to a business expense for one year of taxes, and a felony count related to a gun purchase.

This final decision comes five years after the initial probe into the junior’s finances related to his overseas business ventures.

This isn’t the only trouble the young Biden faces. He recently appeared in an Arkansas courtroom as part of a dispute to reduce child support payments to his 4-year-old son with Lunden Roberts. Roberts accuses Biden of misrepresenting his finances in an effort to reduce payments since 2020 after a paternity test confirmed him as the father of the young boy. A child which he has “no recollection” of conceiving, according to his memoir.

Yet, Secretary of State Antony Blinken continues to refuse to acknowledge that the laptop story was not a lie. In an interview with Fox news State Department Correspondent Benjamin Hall earlier last week, Blinken insisted he would not “engage in politics,” saying he had other more pressing issues to worry about including the wars in Ukraine and Sudan.

This has given the public plenty of time to become desensitized to Hunter Biden’s shenanigans including all the essentials of a Soprano’s script – prostitutes, a copious amount of illegal drugs, and of course, mafioso type business dealings.

Besides, who cares about Hunter Biden when, of course – TRUMP! And TRUMP. And besides that … TRUMP!!!

Hunter Biden and the Double Standard of Justice

Trump had to spend his entire presidency fighting off false accusations and meaningless impeachment attempts. Even after he’s out of office, he continues to live rent free in the head of every prosecutor looking to make a name for himself.

Almost overnight, Attorney Alvin Bragg manufactured an indictment against Donald Trump on thirty-four counts for “falsifying business records” in order to conceal damaging information and unlawful activity from American voters. Or as it’s now commonly known, hush money payments to porn star, Stormy Daniels.

Now that several members of the Proud Boys have been convicted on seditious conspiracy, Trump stands perilously close to a federal prosecution of conspiracy in connection with the events of January 6th.

What happened that day at the Capitol was terribly crude and inexcusable, as is much of Trump’s behavior. But the punishments seem to far outweigh the crimes. Including for those who were held in solitary confinement for up to 23 hours a day before their trials, some for little more than taking an unguided tour through the Capitol. Even the most unlikely of Democrats, Elizabeth Warren, protested saying “Solitary confinement is a form of punishment that is cruel and psychologically damaging… and we’re talking about people who haven’t been convicted of anything yet.”

And so it goes with many attacks against conservatives.

Parents at school board meetings are considered “domestic terrorists.” Catholic parishioners attending traditional Latin mass are targeted for investigation by the FBI, and the Rosary deemed a tool of a growing contingent of Christian Nationalism and a symbol of violent, right-wing extremism

Conservatives seem to get raked over the coals for any and every little infraction without much in depth analysis, in the press or elsewhere, of the legitimacy of claims.

Meanwhile stories of mischief and wrong doings from the left get little scrutiny, much less escalate to the point of prosecution. Rioters and looters in Minneapolis? Jeffrey Epstein’s clients? Hillary Clinton and the “steel dossier”? Merrick Garland lying under oath? Never heard of them. Nothing to see here.

Should Hunter Biden go to jail? If the entire force of the bureaucracy stops protecting him, and he is found guilty, absolutely. Others on the other side of the aisle are being punished for much less.

Justice is not meant to be served in the court of public opinion and both sides – Republicans and Democrats – deserve equal treatment under the law. Only then can the scales of justice be truly balanced.
