The war in Ukraine is clearly heating up.
What does Putin have planned?
We know one thing: social media will reveal a lot in the coming months:
Video footage shared on social media shows multiple Russian tanks and at least one infantry fighting vehicle being destroyed by Ukrainian fire following an attempted attack near Donetsk City a few months back.
The video, initially shared On Telegram and later reposted to Twitter, shows the vehicles in a large field and surrounded by craters from artillery fire.
The video shows the aftermath of a strike, with each vehicle visibly damaged as a result of the Ukrainian fire.
It is unclear exactly where the strike took place or if the vehicles were abandoned or in use at the time of the assault.
Ukraine Weapons Tracker, a popular Twitter war-tracking account, shared the video on February 5 and identified the tanks as two Russian T-72Bs and a single BMP-2 Infantry Fighting Vehicle.
“Two Russian T-72B tanks and a BMP-2 IFV were damaged/destroyed by Ukrainian fire after an attempted attack in the vicinity of Donetsk City,” the tweet reads.
