Kamala Harris has become perhaps the most vacuous vice president in recent history.

She keeps making comments that make her look foolish and uneducated. She has become the most controversial vice president since Dan Quayle.

Kamala Harris Makes More Mistakes

Whether it’s talking about Florida’s education curriculum or ruminating about A.I., she has a knack for condescension and spreading misinformation.

Last week, she took aim at Florida’s educational curriculum that sought to keep teachers from discussing their sexuality with minor students and the state’s effort to keep adult or violent books out of public school libraries.

“So when I think about what is happening, then, here in Florida, I am deeply concerned.  Because let’s be clear: I do believe this is not only about the state of Florida; there is a national agenda afoot.  And what is happening here in Florida?  Extremist so-called leaders for months have dared to ban books. Book bans in this year of our Lord 2023,” Harris said. “Extremists here in Florida passed a law, ‘Don’t Say Gay,’ trying to instill fear in our teachers that they should not live their full life and love who they love.

Harris continued: “And now, on top of all of that, they want to replace history with lies.  Middle school students in Florida to be told that enslaved people benefited from slavery.”

Opponents Accuse Harris of Pushing ‘Misinformation’

Dr. William Allen, a black professor who helped develop the Florida black history curriculum, told Fox news Digital that Harris was guilty of pushing “misinformation.”

“I consider it a good thing that this has blown up in the way it has to. What it underscores is that this is not a Florida question, this is a national question. And without doubt, if the people who were speaking before they read, were to read before they spoke, they would learn a great deal,” Allen said. “They would discover that everything is talked about in this history, not just one portion of it. The horrors are not glossed over. The accomplishments are not ignored.”

Similarly, Harris’s comments about semi-automatic rifles suggesting they were “weapons of war” have been panned as inaccurate because an AR-15 and an M-4/M-16 are not the same weapon.

“Make you a deal we will ban all the weapons that you can show are used on an actual battlefield. Which is not an AR-15,” Dr. Mark Young, host of Blunt Force Truth, tweeted.

M4s and M-16s are fully automatic and are used on the battlefield. AR-15s cosmetically resemble those rifles and are not used in combat.

On countless other occasions her speeches have been ridiculed as “word salads” or she has been accused of having been intoxicated while giving them.

Kamala Harris is Not in the Same Class as Immediate Predecessors

Her defenders like to say that the vice presidency historically has been a nothing position.

It’s a job without any established constitutional responsibilities besides waiting in case the president either dies in office or is incapacitated, or breaking ties in the U.S. Senate.

Vice presidents have been increasingly involved in helping the president with his duties since Walter Mondale became vice president along with Jimmy Carter in 1977. George H.W. Bush became a key part of the Reagan administration and met with Ronald Reagan and had regular morning meetings with him before succeeding him as president in 1989.

Al Gore acted as a key part of the Clinton administration and presided over major foreign policy achievements such as the Gore-Chernomyrdin Commission that sought to strike a balance with Russia following the Cold War. He is also famous for having promoted legislation that fostered the growth of the Internet.

Dick Cheney famously or infamously took a key role in shaping the Bush administration’s response to 9/11 and its policies on terrorism.

Harris is none of those.

“Democrats may be happy with Kamala Harris taking over, but the rest of the electorate almost certainly is not,” Democratic pollster Douglas Schoen said. “Harris has lower approval ratings than Biden, and remains very much an open question to the electorate whether she is ready and indeed able to govern.”
