Donald Trump Demands To See Joe Biden Impeached

Democrats impeached Donald Trump for asking Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to look into potential corruption on the part of Joe Biden and Hunter Biden. Now he wants payback.

Democrats impeached Donald Trump for asking Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to look into potential corruption on the part of Joe Biden and Hunter Biden.

Now he wants payback and it is threatening primary challenges against Republicans who stand in the way of his revenge.

“Any Republican that doesn’t act on Democratic fraud should be immediately primaried and get out,” Trump told supporters at a campaign rally Saturday in Erie, Pa., about impeaching Joe Biden. “We got a lot of good, tough Republicans around. People are going to run against them and people are going to win.”

Donald Trump Sees Vindication in Congressional Investigation

Trump likely sees additional evidence coming to light through the congressional investigations that support the query that Democrats used to impeach him.

Democrats accused Trump of “election interference” for requesting the inquiry against a man who was not a sure thing to be the Democratic nominee in 2020.

“There’s a lot of talk about Biden’s son, that Biden stopped the prosecution and a lot of people want to find out about that so whatever you can do with the Attorney General would be great. Biden went around bragging that he stopped the prosecution so if you can look into it… It sounds horrible to me,” Trump said in the call with Zelensky.

Hunter Biden’s former business partner Devon Archer alleged on Monday that Joe Biden participated in business calls as the selling point of “the brand” on at least 20 occasions while he was Barack Obama’s vice president. Archer noted that Burisma executive Vadym Pozharskyi and Burisma owner Mykola Zlochevsky pressured Hunter Biden to put push his father to get Ukrainian Prosecutor General Viktor Shokin fired.

An FBI informant likewise alleged in a July 2020 FD-1023 document that Zlochevsky had passed $5 million bribes to pressure Ukraine’s government to dump Shokin.

“With all of these horrible revelations and facts, why hasn’t Republican ‘leadership’ in the Senate spoken up and rebuked Crooked Joe Biden and the Radical Left Democrats, Fascists, and Marxists for their criminal acts against our Country, some of them against me,” Trump wrote in a recent post on his social media site Truth Social.

Trump Comments Play Into Democrat Hands

Trump’s comment plays into the hands of Democrats who say Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s impeachment talk is just reacting to what the former president wants.

It also gives political cover for those who say the Republicans want to do exactly what the Democrats did to Trump: begin with a political premise and construct a legal theory to support it.

House Speaker Kevin McCarthy touched off a political firestorm after the release of the FD-1023 and suggested that impeaching Joe Biden could be a possibility.

“If (the Biden administration) does not provide the information we need, then we would go to an impeachment inquiry,” McCarthy said last week.

Trump’s Push for Revenge Could Backfire

Some in the Republican caucus see danger in Trump’s zeal for revenge.

“Every time we walk the plank we are putting moderate members, members that won Biden districts, we are putting those seats at risk for 2024. We are putting the majority at risk,” South Carolina Republican Rep. Nancy Mace said on “Fox News Sunday.”

She’s not the only Republican expressing skepticism.

“I don’t know how anyone, any objective reasonable person couldn’t come to the conclusion that this appears to be impeachment-worthy,” Rep. Bob Good, R-Va., said.

McCarthy has denied that his impeachment call has anything to do with Trump and has pushed back against reports he plans to yield to Trump’s pressure to expunge his impeachments from the record.

Democrats See Impeachment as a Way to Deflect From Trump Prosecutions

Both sides are accusing each other of legal one-upmanship. Republicans claim Democrats have used Donald Trump’s indictments to take Biden’s problems out of the headlines.

Now Democrats contend that Republicans want to impeach Biden to provide Donald Trump with political air cover.

“It’s a reason why Democrats believe the GOP impeaching Biden could help the President’s reelection campaign. ‘Impeachment hearings would make for good television. They would make for spectacle,’ a senior Democratic Hill staffer tells TIME. ‘But what we already know is that voters are tired of hyper partisanship.’ Moreover, the official adds, Democrats would use the proceedings to try to emphasize a contrast between the parties: ‘Democrats are here to lower costs and build bridges. Republicans are here to perform political theater,’” Time Magazine reporter Eric Cortellessa wrote.
