Senator Tom Cotton Raises Concerns About Fauci’s China Connections – Senator Tom Cotton (R-AR) has reignited concerns about the relationship between Dr. Anthony Fauci, former Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, and China.
In an appearance on Fox News Channel’s “The Ingraham Angle,” Cotton voiced apprehensions about Fauci’s involvement and funding in the infamous Wuhan lab.
Senator Cotton emphasized the need for clarity regarding Fauci’s ties with China, particularly concerning the funding of the Wuhan lab through the Eco-Health Alliance.
He pointed out that Fauci, a pivotal figure in the U.S. response to COVID-19, was instrumental in directing tax dollars to the lab in what many experts says was against previous guidelines.
Cotton stated, “We need to get to the bottom of exactly what his relationship was with China…what he may have been doing to try to influence the quality of intelligence assessments about that lab.”
A Past Critique on Anytony Fauci’s Expertise
This isn’t the first time Senator Cotton has raised questions about Dr. Fauci.
In 2021, the Arkansas politician criticized Fauci, labeling him a “so-called expert” whose expertise is limited to infectious diseases and lacks understanding of broader societal aspects.
He argued that Fauci’s expertise didn’t encompass the economy, psychology, or the daily struggles of Americans.
Cotton emphasized that entrusting Fauci, primarily an expert in infectious diseases, with decisions impacting the wider American populace could be detrimental, stating, “That’s why you don’t let an expert make decisions like this for the American people.”
