Is Joe Biden Responsible for Kamala Harris and All of Her Failings? Talk show host Grace Curley contends that President Joe Biden is responsible for his vice president’s incoherence and failure to accomplish anything.
Kamala Harris and the All Of That Drama?
“If Harris is doing a terrible job (she is), perhaps it is merely because she is following Joe’s lead. Like her boss, Madame Vice President does not want to acknowledge the crisis on our southern border, visit East Palestine, talk to reporters or address everyday struggles of the American people,” Curley writes in an op-ed in the Boston Herald. “If Biden won’t go near any of those things with a ten foot pole, then why should Harris? And like her boss, Kamala has a knack for saying the wrong thing at the wrong time.”
Curley opines that Kamala Harris should ask her boss what his family was doing taking money from companies tied to the Chinese government. The U.S. appears to the rest of the world as a nation adrift. This starts at the top.
Biden’s son, Hunter, has been the symbol of this presidency’s decadence, she notes.
“Needless to say, the Biden bunch is far from squeaky clean. The Vice President would do well to remind Joe of that fact when he starts judging her shortcomings or if he tries to edge her out of the 2024 ticket,” Curley writes.
The Real Issue
Biden has complained privately that Kamala Harris does not take much off of his plate. Harris should remind her boss that the buck stops with him to quote former President Harry Truman. She should take Biden to task for not answering questions from reporters about his family’s financial dealings.
The president denied that his family had received over $1 million. The money came from accounts belonging to HK State Limited, an affiliate of the Chinese military intelligence-linked CEFC Energy when asked by reporters in the months following Biden’s departure from the vice presidency in 2017.
The denial landed him in hot water with House Oversight and Accountability Chairman James Comer who called it “misleading and dishonest.”
“The next time Joe and Kamala are in a room together, she should lean in and say, ‘Hey boss. A lot of reporters are asking about your family’s multi-million dollar Chinese wire transfers. If you’d like me to talk to them, I’d be more than happy to take this one off of your plate,” Curley writes.
Kamala Harris has not disappointed expectations anymore than Biden has, particularly when it comes to the Silicon Valley Bank collapse. The president barely spent five minutes addressing the financial implosion that had the potential to cause a chain reaction that could have severely disrupted the nation’s banking sector. It was the second-largest bank collapse in U.S. history. Biden declined to comment on it for reporters, according to Curley.
Curley notes that White House press secretary-turned-MSNBC host Jen Psaki defended Biden saying that he is a night owl who never does anything before 9 a.m.
“Come again? Is Psaki seriously suggesting that we should be impressed that the president managed to put pants on and parrot some words off of a giant teleprompter before noon? The bar is even lower than I thought for the workhorse in this White House. Even so, Mr. Early Riser has even higher standards for his number two than he has for himself.”
The Biden school of leadership seems to be, “The Buck Never Got Here.”
