An intercepted Russian phone call reveals how Russian civilians are now doing what they can to provide Russian soldiers with basic essentials, with military leadership apparently unable to provide even some of the most basic supplies for soldiers deployed to Ukraine.

What We Know: The War in Ukraine Is a Nightmare

In the video, shared on Twitter by the War Translated account, a soldier tells the women how people are “going crazy” and don’t want to fight

The soldier describes how one mad asked him to break his heel for 60,000 rubles.

“A heel takes a while to heal, so he could f**k off to home for six months,” the soldier explained.

“I said get the cash ready, I’ll shoot it for you. Just give me your AK, I’ll shoot it. You can then say you accidentally show yourself,” the soldier continues.

The woman responded by describing how a petition had been submitted to an unnamed authority to “figure out why the f**k nothing is reaching you.”

“They’re collecting money for Kreminna frontline, for thermal imaging,” the woman said, adding that she told Russian authorities to do more to supply troops with the essentials they need.

“I said: ‘I get it, these are our men, we need to help them, but excuse me, it wasn’t us who sent them there, why aren’t they being supplied?’” the woman says.

“Why the f*ck am I supposed to supply the Russian army? I don’t get anything.”

The soldier also expressed frustration at Russian military leadership, describing how people are sent to him from other battalions and divisions as a form of punishment, describing his line of defense as the “most f**ked up line.”

He revealed how one soldier was sent to the frontline from a different battalion for complaining about the lack of supplies.

Wagner Says More Supplies On Their Way

Despite ongoing shortages of key military supplies, including food, clothing, and ammunition, the head of Russia’s Wagner Group believes that the Russian government is preparing to send more supplies in the coming days and weeks.

Yevgeny Prigozhin, who has been engaged in a public feud with the Kremlin for weeks now, said on Thursday last week that ammunition was headed to his troops in Ukraine. His comments are significant as in recent weeks, Prigozhin has accused the Kremlin of deliberately withholding supplies from his troops.
