Hunter Biden’s Last Hope

President Joe Biden has made a point over the years to detail how much he loves his family. Would he pardon Hunter Biden?

Hunter Biden’s Last Hope – To say that Hunter Biden is in trouble is an understatement. Here is a man who has made a career out of suspicious influence peddling for decades. Accused of trading on access to this father’s various political offices for a high fee from foreign governments, powerful individuals, and multinational corporations, Hunter’s dirtiest secrets are now under a Congressional microscope.

The House Republican investigation into claims of Hunter’s impropriety is being led by the dogged Rep. Jim Comer (R-KY). There are political and legal incentives for the GOP to pursue Hunter vigorously.

Beyond concerns that Hunter has been serving as a cutout for a much larger criminal operation involving the entire Biden Family—with Joe Biden being in the center of the conspiracy—the First Son is also possibly about to be indicted for tax evasion and forging a gun purchase form.

Hunter Biden and The Lies We Weave

Should Hunter Biden be indicted, and should he be found guilty of these crimes, the House GOP could potentially leverage this to flip Hunter and get him to give the House investigators proof that Joe Biden is as corrupt as many believe him to be.

Of course, Hunter has something that few others (including former President Donald J. Trump, who was recently indicted for supposed hush money payments to the pornographic actress Stormy Daniels) have: a get out of jail free card.

President Joe Biden has made a point over the years to detail how much he loves his family. Specifically, President Biden wants everyone to know his deep and abiding love for his children. With his son, Beau, having tragically passed in 2016 due to brain cancer, that has placed Hunter at the forefront of Joe Biden’s concerns.

That Hunter may be Joe Biden’s front man in an ongoing, international criminal conspiracy only makes Hunter’s importance to President Biden even greater.

After all, Joe Biden needs the gravy train to continue unimpeded. Hunter getting indicted and likely convicted of any crime opens the Biden Syndicate to greater scrutiny. More sunlight would potentially send the entire Biden operation careening into judicial oblivion. Only Joe Biden can stop that from happening.

Pardon the Interruption

There are few rules constraining a sitting president from using the power of his office to pardon anyone he pleases.

Historically, presidents have sparingly used the pardon power. And when they have deployed that awesome power, they have attempted to institutionalize the process in order to give it an air of credibility it otherwise might lack.

That changed with former President Donald Trump who began using—some would say abusing—that power to pardon anyone he liked at any time, for any reason.

Of course, this is a presidential prerogative.

Yet, Joe Biden pardoning his son for actual wrongdoing that likely relates to the wider family “business” is a real cake topper. It’s never happened before. What’s more, it will set the precedent for future presidents to use their office to insulate themselves from wrongdoing.

Republicans had better move fast to get to the bottom of whatever criminality that Hunter Biden may have been orchestrating on behalf of his father. Once he gets a pardon from dear, old dad, that opportunity goes away—and with it any chance of getting to the actual truth behind the claims that Joe Biden is an international criminal kingpin.
