Donald Trump’s Poll Numbers Are Starting to Tank

Well, this seems like a shocker to me – and Donald Trump is going to be pretty angry indeed. The latest Emerson College Poll has Donald Trump’s GOP polling numbers down six percent.

Well, this seems like a shocker to me – and Donald Trump will be pretty angry indeed.

The latest Emerson College Poll has Donald Trump’s GOP polling numbers down six percent.

Donald Trump Has a New Polling Problem

From Emerson College: “A new Emerson College Polling survey of U.S. voters following the August Republican Primary debate finds half of Republican Primary voters (50%) plan to vote for Donald Trump, the lowest support to date for the former President in Emerson national polls. Trump’s support has dropped by six percentage points since last week’s pre-debate national poll

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is at 12%, a 2 percentage point increase from last week. Businessman Vivek Ramaswamy follows with 9%, a one-point drop from the pre-debate poll. Former Vice President Mike Pence received 7% of voter support, a 4-point increase from the pre-debate poll. Former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley saw the largest increase in support among Republican candidates, jumping 5 points from 2% to 7%.”

What the Experts Think About the Dip

“While Trump saw a slight dip in support, the question from this poll is whether this is a blip for Trump or if the other Republican candidates will be able to rally enough support to be competitive for the caucus and primary season,” Spencer Kimball, Executive Director of Emerson College Polling said.

Is This the Vivek Impact?

I can’t help but wonder if this drop is a move towards many MAGA voters looking ever more strongly at Vivek these days?

I mean, he is MAGA all the way, minus those 91 charges Donald Trump is facing these days.

Could it be that Vivek has that Donald Trump charm and swagger but none of the baggage?

I guess we won’t know until we get more polling data, but it does suggest that Donald Trump Does have something to worry about in the weeks and months to come, especially as he gets hauled into court more and more and has more trial dates. Could we see his support start to slip?

Also, with 91 counts against him, it seems impossible that he won’t get found guilty of something somewhere.

What impact will that have on the GOP’s nomination process? What happens if he gets convicted before, say, the Iowa caucuses? The GOP needs to consider this.
