Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich (R-GA), who is one of the most prolific frequenters of the conservative press, author, and a man who is known for having led the impeachment of former President Bill Clinton, is advising Republicans to avoid impeaching President Joe Biden.
According to the famous former speaker, initiating an impeachment inquiry against President Biden is preferable to actually following through and impeaching the forty-sixth president because of the fact that his removal would usher in Kamala Harris’ presidency.
Is Kamala Harris Worse Than Joe Biden?
As Gingrich sees it, “Kamala would be such a total disaster for the country that Biden’s corruption is probably preferable to her incompetence.”
In other interviews, Gingrich has insisted that Joe Biden, a man he’s known for decades, is not as senile as he is letting on.
Such suspicion around a president’s purported idiocy is nothing new.
During the heady years of the George W. Bush Administration, for example, many critics of the forty-third president (whose gaffes were legendary) insisted that much of overt stupidity was put on to deflect negative media attention away from his actual policies.
Gingrich might not be wrong in his second view about Biden feigning senility in many instances. But, if Gingrich is correct in that assertion, it totally negates the former speaker’s supposition that Biden’s “corruption is preferable to [Harris’] incompetence.”
It indicates a level of deviousness that is simply too dangerous to be left in the White House.
This is especially so if the allegations about the Biden Family having been compromised by Chinese intelligence are, in fact, accurate (I suspect they are, thanks to Hunter Biden’s various business deals).
Is Joe Biden Pretending to Be Crazy?
Biden is pretending to be more senile than he truly is in order to distract most of the oppositional media away from what he’s actually doing as president to his various missteps and gaffes.
The greater question is, then, just what is Biden up to that he’s feigning senility about?
It all revolves around Hunter Biden’s escapades around the world, and why Joe Biden must be impeached. Newt Gingrich is playing old school politics. If only that was still applicable to the current moment in American politics.
Sadly, there’s no going back to the way things were. Keeping Biden in office for another minute only ensures that the American people and our great nation are cut down to size, just as Biden’s foreign financial backers desire.
Why else would the forty-sixth president, despite all evidence to the contrary, be so gung-ho about accommodating Red China?
Or why might the president be so willing to flirt with a nuclear world war with Russia over tiny Ukraine, if not for the fact that the Biden Syndicate accepted millions of dollars over a decade from the Ukrainian government?
Historical Precedence
There is rumination that Gingrich is gun shy about seeing the House Republicans repeat his strategy from back when he impeached Bill Clinton.
After all, by the end of the Clinton impeachment, the forty-second president came out looking like gold while the Republicans—who began the impeachment with overwhelming public support—looked awful, lost support among the public, and even lost some seats in the off-year 1998 Midterm election.
Yet, the circumstances are quite different between then and now.
In the 1990s, the nation was relatively peaceful, and our political differences were nowhere near as divided as they are today, we could ultimately move on from the impeachment of Bill Clinton because his impeachable offenses were of a personal nature.
With Joe Biden, on the other hand, his impeachable offenses were not only criminal—corruption—but they may border on treason, if it is determined that the forty-sixth president has been compromised by Chinese (and other foreign sources) money.
Impeach Biden, No Matter What
So, while the impeachment of Bill Clinton was a political luxury that backfired on the Republicans in 1998, the possible impeachment of Joe Biden is a national security necessity. It would be foolish to ignore Biden’s crimes and keep him in office simply out of fear of his running-mate.
Remember, Kamala Harris has proven herself to be wildly unpopular on a national level—to the point that she couldn’t even win her own state when she was running for president in the 2020 Democratic Party Presidential Primary.
Joe Biden can and must be impeached because he is so obviously guilty.
Speaker Gingrich is incorrect in his desire to not impeach Biden. For the sake of the country, it must be done.
